I have always had a bit of thing about tragic accidents, a bit morbid really. Anyway my local Tesco is not very friendly but there's one Scottish lad who is really kind and charming. His picture is on the front of the local paper he had a bad motorbike accident and suffered a tear to his heart and serious head injuries. Its someone I know only from the shop but I feel really sad. Its unsual for me to get upset, I loathed the outpouring of grief when Lady Di passed, it just be that he's a friendly face in my daily routine. I hope he recovers poor guy.

Not quite. Vast commercial empire would seem more apt.

I think you'll find it is called 'recreational grieving'. And I hate its guts too.

Happy to help.

In the context of the story its a Tesco Express, but yes Tesco is a mammoth conglomerate.

The acquaintance grief has abated now, it was more trying to comprehend how one moment you're here then gone. But thats life.

I know what you mean, I feel that way about animals and some people I don't know.

Crocodile tears are when you're only pretending to be upset.

I don't put on any Crocodile Tears. Why would I. I've been shedding real tears, since around December 9th, last year. The tears are tapering off, but they're still very real. I've cried Crocodile Tears over people's deaths in my lifetime, though I rarely get attatched to people. My tears over the demise of the Routemasters are very real. There's that lump in my throat that wasn't there, when I was crying Crocodile Tears over the varoius people who have passed away, throughout my life. It doesn't mean that I'm not human. It just means that my AS has caused me to become attatched to a physical object that happened to be a part of London. I hope you don't think that I'm playing the Sympathy Card. My Aunt does that, all the time, and I don't want to turn into her.

They were'nt crocodile tears I just seemed to have a lump in my throat I could'nt get rid of I just did'nt know what it was, I think its cos the guy was rather cute and it was a horrific accident. But anyway I think you can grieve over anything I always grieved when we moved home I'd hug the banisters and say goodbye. I used to have a cash box when I was small it went everwhere I did the day I lost it was very sad.

We have them in the Czech Republic too.

It's more like the Super Walmart since they have groceries (at least in Czech).

I thought that the expression "Crocodile tears" meant that you were faking your feelings. I have a hard time feeling emotions in situations like this, but if I do feel them I don't automatically assume that they are fake. It's just unfamiliar.

no Crocodile tears are fake tears.

Exactly. But she's not faking.

Fresco - Would it make you feel better to send him a card or something? He'd probably like it. The only hazard would be if he has an NT wife or girlfriend. They can be brutal.
