Relate. My cat woke me up at 3 a.m.. The first thought in my head was: heart attacks often occur at 3 a.m. . The room was stuffy and my nose was plugged, so I figured I couldn't breath - another "symptom". And so it went until I got up and had a tea. I can usually stave off a full blown panic attack thanks to some outpatient therapy years ago, but I still get right up there to that thresh hold often enough.
