This may seems ridiculous, but I revolve my life around someone else's way of thinking and I am sick of it. I think I have been brainwashed. How do I overcome such a thing?

He dumped so many thoughts on me and now they're stuck in my head; isn't that abuse?

Think your own thoughts. Form your own opinions.

No. That is not abuse. If it were, then there would be no advertisements of any kind, and the media would go bankrupt.

No one can control your thoughts except you ... unless you're schizophrenic.

NO. If we could hold each other responsible for adverse thoughts in our own heads, it would be impossible for anyone (or anything) to maintain or prove innocence.

What sorts of thoughts? Were they negative about you, or more just opinions about general everyday things? Do you feel like you had your own thoughts before meeting this person?

Depends on how those thoughts got there, and/or what was done to get them stuck in your head.
