I would honestly take a little break from video games if I were you. You seem to be seeing them very much out of proportion. When my kids get frustrated with one they are playing they just turn it off and go do something else for a while. They get mad at it for a few minutes and then realize that doesn't do any good and then find something else to do. If you are playing on a Playstation or Xbox you can watch tv shows or movies on it and all kinds of stuff.
I'd seriously back off the video games for at least a week so you can see them with the proper level of importance.
But winning is everything! If I lose, I might as well be a failure!
IT'S NOT "JUST A GAME". IT'S A MATTER OF MY VERY PRIDE! I HAVE TO WIN! THEY HAVE TO LOSE! DO OTHERS NEED THIS BEATEN INTO THEM?
Then I would seriously discuss this with a trained therapist. That's not normal to need to win everything that much. You'll never be happy if you can't deal with not winning or getting your way sometimes. Nobody wins all the time. I'd seriously get some counseling about the issue.
And it is just a game. They sell them at Wal Mart for about $40 and you don't have to have some sort of hard to obtain license or skill level to buy or play it. Anybody can get and play one. It's no different than cards or Monopoly or horseshoes.
Your self esteem needs to be based on something other than winning games, because that's not going to matter to anyone else and just winning video games won't get you anywhere in life. You are much more than some score on a silly kids game.
