WHY DO I KEEP GETTING KILLED IN TEAM FORTRESS 2? IT'S NOT FAIR! I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT! WHY DID VALVE HAVE TO RUIN FPSs BY PUTTING IN A CLASS SYSTEM? WHY CAN'T I KILL PEOPLE?

I HAVE TO WIN! THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO WIN. THEY ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO LOSE! DO OTHER PEOPLE NEED ME TO BEAT THIS FACT INTO THEM?

LOSING IS TOO HUMILIATING! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO HAPPEN? IT'S NOT FAIR! I DON'T GET IT! WHY CAN'T I WIN EVERYTHING LIKE I WAS MEANT TO? I HAVE TO BE PERFECT! FLAWS ARE NOT ALLOWED!

I would honestly take a little break from video games if I were you. You seem to be seeing them very much out of proportion. When my kids get frustrated with one they are playing they just turn it off and go do something else for a while. They get mad at it for a few minutes and then realize that doesn't do any good and then find something else to do. If you are playing on a Playstation or Xbox you can watch tv shows or movies on it and all kinds of stuff.

I'd seriously back off the video games for at least a week so you can see them with the proper level of importance.

But winning is everything! If I lose, I might as well be a failure!

IT'S NOT "JUST A GAME". IT'S A MATTER OF MY VERY PRIDE! I HAVE TO WIN! THEY HAVE TO LOSE! DO OTHERS NEED THIS BEATEN INTO THEM?

I can't tell if you're being serious or trolling, but one thing to keep in mind is that even the best players out there lose every now and then, it's all part of the game! (any game really).

But why do I of all people have to lose? It's not right! It's too harmful to my pride!

In my opinion; all players are equal and have an equal chance to win.

If you want an answer that doesn't hurt your pride, people tend to blame their team.

But, that doesn't actually help you win.

Record your matches, look over what you did wrong. NOBODY plays perfectly. Then again, I'm not sure how to do that outside the RTS world...

Yes, and it is a matter of pride for the other players as well. Someone has to lose and in this case it is you. Next time it may not be, but it is unwise to put so much of your sense of purpose in life on something as trivial as a video game.

Then I would seriously discuss this with a trained therapist. That's not normal to need to win everything that much. You'll never be happy if you can't deal with not winning or getting your way sometimes. Nobody wins all the time. I'd seriously get some counseling about the issue.

And it is just a game. They sell them at Wal Mart for about $40 and you don't have to have some sort of hard to obtain license or skill level to buy or play it. Anybody can get and play one. It's no different than cards or Monopoly or horseshoes.

Your self esteem needs to be based on something other than winning games, because that's not going to matter to anyone else and just winning video games won't get you anywhere in life. You are much more than some score on a silly kids game.

It really is just a game. Unfortunately, in competitive games, the skillful people win, and the rest lose. It's as if Darwin had been reincarnated as a game designer.

Uhh yeah it kind of is just a game, if you cannot handle the idea of losing on a video game than you probably should not play them at all, let alone any online ones.

But other players need to know their place below me! They have to lose!

There is no reason why I should get backstabbed from nowhere! It's a slap in the face! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE CLASS-BASED! I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT! IT'S TOO FOREIGN TO ACCEPT!

While I don't have quite the same need to dominate, I hate repeating myself... failing/dying and having to do something all over again is annoying! Having to repeat several times is infuriating!!

As of your most recent post; I can see two solutions...

-Begin with the assumption you are below the other players

- Identify why it is you died.

What's more; TF2 is a team game. Hence, the word TEAM in the title. Your deaths could be as easily caused by the Guy who let the spy in the base in the first place. But, you are just as responsible for their deaths as well.

What matters not is personal score, but actually winning the damn game. I've run into people like you before; and this is the only viable conclusion.

Also…

Blaming others, while it does keep your Ego high - Does NOTHING to help you win the game.
