My decision making is totally crap. I have a list of bad decisions I've made including turning down good accomodation, walking out of good jobs. My latest f**k up is getting a new mobile phone when I already had a perfectly good one.

It's a bit depressing.

When was the last time you walked out of a good job?

Poor mental health can lead to bad decision making and we don't choose to be mentally ill.

1992. I was repairing mobile phones on the night shift. I really regret walking out now and I gave up the job I had afterwards due to depression.

No, I did security work in 1999 and some voluntary work in 2016. Have worked about 5 years in total.

I screwed up the charging connection trying to the back off so it's now in the bin.

To be fair I made a poor decision buying this phone but it was cheap so you get what you pay for but I hate it if I'm honest

Yeah I mean it's perfectly adequate and I play on here with it all day and it works really well but I don't like the weight of it and the camera isn't really up to much

But on the bright side no one's gonna rob it off me

I used to have a cheap Nokia smartphone but the internet on it was really slow and the camera was rubbish as well.

I think decisions are hard to make because when you make a decision it's like a commitment in a way and then when it turns out that you've made a mistake you feel frustrated with yourself but then you'll be ok after a bit

I'm not OK with it though. I beat myself up over bad decisions I made over 30 years ago

It sounds like you are experiencing rumination, Rossall.
