I've had an old interest back for the past two months and it had been going pretty well until all of a sudden about five days ago it just dropped and I felt nothing at all for two days. The past two or three years its started to come much more into my head again and I get little buzzes and little thought processes coming away from it again and began to think maybe it was just a blip once more. At least one time, normally two I just suddenly feel hopeless, I've also been feeling sick and off food ( which is not like me!) and tier more easily. I did a test on line and found out I am well into the severe depression category- I knew I was depressed but its got so much worse after I made a big mistake and ended another interest that I wasn't ready to end yet.
Since I got my interest back I've been feeling strange though, I really enjoy writing fanfiction stories and the though of picking up either story fills me with a strange feeling- sort of a mixture of guilt and lethargy at the same time but once I've actually done some writing its not too bad, I can do it when I'm doing it. Today the same thing happened with the rest, drawing and craft things- all sorts just stopped mattering at all. Is this all due to depression? Or is it because I'm losing another interest. It would help me I think with my problem because if it really is solely the depression side which is causing this then ill know to keep getting mysel to try but sadly it might be the fading interest which will probably cause me more pain but ill just have to live with that

I can't really say why of the depression is but do keep in mind you're in the age where hormones spike and dip like some demented rollercoaster.

Usually physical activity will help with these things since it gets your body working. Doesn't have to be a sport either... if you like cooking maybe you could pick some dish and set yourself to do it (the more complex the better).. if you have a green thumb get to work on the garden... or go to the mall with friends and just burn energy there.

At your age I would just go play paintball. Sport+excitement+releases angst all in one. :)

It's tough cycling in and out of depression. If you aren't feeling well maybe it's a sign you should get more rest. This will pass and your interests will become more intense again.
