You know what? Sometimes I think, under the right circumstances, anyone can snap and go postal. You can have a man, working loyally at the same company for 30 or 40 years, then suddenly fired because he makes too much or they're downsizing or whatever. Or a man who, married for years, suddenly learns his wife and the postman were closer than he thought. To some people these can be life-changing events.

The Nazi's fascinate me. They're monsters. But it was a time
when god and the devil lived together and remembered each other
under good circumstances. We can remember the ultimate tragedy of
the Reich that fell upon the jews, absolutely. It was sadistic, and continues
to be prevalent in modern trends in today's economy.

However, the friendships, and the bonds, and the adrenaline -
the chemical reaction - the change, the rapid and consistent
change between each and every individual who had an agenda
at every second pro or anti Reich, created many relationships
in Germany and internationally.

I also assume, that the research and experiments that Mengele
conducted were useful unto this day. However, I fear that our society
will see another Reich in my lifetime.

I just think that bad people derive pleasure from sadism, that's all...

I don't think it is a case of being "so many bad people".

There are a lot of good people that make bad choices and do bad things, and most of them can find spiritual and social redemption if they really want to reach out for it. Not that many genuinely bad people in the world, IMO.

I agree to an extent, in reality it is often not as simple as simply separating everything in terms of black and white, good or bad. As the saying goes, let he who is without sin cast the first stone. However, I do often wonder why some people commit such terrible acts, it's a crazy world we live in!

i think that most people are good from their own perspective, and since there is no absolute perspective that i have access to, as far as i am aware at this time, from which i could judge another, then i am not sure that there are any bad people at all.

i know that some people think they are bad or otherwise despise themselves, as i used to be such a one. i inferred that i was a bad person from the way other people treated me.

i think that a good person who is treated like a monster may be corralled into that role by their desire to resolve the conflict between their view of themselves and the way others seem to view them.

if people treat me poorly when i am good, and no different when i do what society says is wrong, if there are no practical consequences, what difference does it make (to me) what i do? this is a sentiment many disadvantaged people can relate to, i suppose.

people often hurt others (or provide one of innumerable necessary conditions for others to feel hurt) in the process of expressing their pain.

Although there are more people today then ever, there may be more who are isolated and without any close support groups.
