Hi,

I'm looking to get to know other self harmers in the UK. I've cut my face open with knives, my arms and legs, taken overdoses and jumped off a bridge.

Most people are unable to understand me and depth of emotion. I need to meet other people who feel deeply depressed.

P. S. Don't worry, I've had help from doctors.

Have you tried self-harming/depression boards first? There are UK-based ones as well.

There are some good self harm support boards, specific to the UK such as here Mental Health Forums UK

I SH but I am not sure how many other people here do so. I agree it is difficult to find people who can understand. The only thing I would say is that most SH support forums do not allow you to discuss specifics about SH, for example the method that you use or the equipment. as it can be triggering for others, as well as giving people ideas.

I self harm and have also attempted suicide on several occasions.
Sometimes it is difficult for others to tell if my actions are self-harm acts or suicide attempts.
Usually I know though.

I self-harm and have attempted suicide several times, so I would be willing to talk to you.

You might also want to check out this self-harm site: National Self Harm Network forum.

I'm glad you've got the help of a doctor. Here's another site to check out:
