I used to enjoy this site because there were fun people to talk to, and the vast majority would listen.

Sadly, that is no longer the case. You cannot "be yourself", you have to do whatever's popular with everybody else. And if you're politically conservative or have any sort of religious beliefs (especially Christianity), you are subject to endless bullying, and social isolation.

I cannot be on here anymore because of that.

:( Sorry you feel that way. Personally, I think you should stay and represent your views, backlash or no. It's what is right for you, though.

Alright leave, don't make a big fuss about it. Though if I recall this isn't the first time you have said you were going to leave and never have. If you don't like the site, leave, if not, stay, but don't make a big deal of it.

Please stay and represent your views. And let's try and be more proactive in addressing bullying behavior, which is not cool no matter what a person's political or religious views.

I have seen nothing but positive contribution from you.

I KNOW there are problems here.

Believe me I know.

I hope you stay and dont get hounded out by the haters.

Maybe if Religion had cold hard scientific facts behind it, people wouldn't bash it.

I do not detect any of the prejudice stated in this post.

Yeah, it was all in the post above yours instead.

Hey, Tim... stick around. I have no problem with your posts at all. Most of all, DON'T LET THE BULLIES WIN! When they try to chase you away to claim this territory all for themselves, ignore them and stay anyway!

I know it's tough... heck, even moderators have been involved in some terrible religion-bashing that would never be tolerated anywhere else. :?

Be strong... STAY!

Being skeptical of religion isn't the same as religion-bashing. Sometimes, people believe baseless, indefensible, and unfalsifiable things. As long as it's not hurting anyone, it's fine. But that doesn't mean people shouldn't have the right to question it.

More than anything else, the people here are here so they can connect with others of like minds, or in this case, like disorders. I'm not going to tell you what you should think or feel about anything, but perhaps you should reexamine your priorities. Are you here to speak with other conservatives or those of like faith? Or are you here to speak with other autistic individuals?

Although I wish you wouldn't leave, I understand your reasons for doing so. Religion bashing is a popular pastime here at Atheist Centra- I mean, WrongPlanet. The only people who don't think there is any bullying going on are the ones who share their beliefs with the majority (the atheists). I have had, on several occasions, other Christians PM me to tell me that they were being bullied by atheists so the problem exists whether people want to admit to it or not. Come to think of it, this site does have a lot of other issues with people being closed-minded, such as the attitude that "you don't behave exactly like a textbook case of autism, so you must not really have it", "people with AS are better than NTs", people who hate anything that's really popular (unless of course it is acceptably geeky enough, like Star Wars/Trek, LotR and superheroes etc.)

However, even though this site has its flaws, it's still one of the best places to come for talking about autism issues and special interests, and the friends you make tend to be very loyal. And even though one's posts don't tend to get many responses, and some people tend to view it as a negative thing, I've never actually been bothered by it because I know that our words will be read even if no one types out a response. Those are the reasons why I have always kept coming back to this site, even though I do have to take a break every now and again. :)

i never bullied the OP. IMHO he shouldn't let thoughtless people cause him to throw away his hard-earned high post count.

I don't post in the political threads so I am not bashed by people who are conservative. I say if you go in that section prepare to be bashed.

I'm a nationalist conservative so it's all fun and games for me!

I don't let it bother me.
