I've been having panic attacks more frequently than ever in the last 3 days
I throw up, my stomach hurts and I feel absolutely horrible
I usually tell my only true friend and he'd stay on the phone with me
He desperately tries to calm me down and distract me, but it doesn't help
My chest feels heavy and compressed.
My head hurts and, I suck in and squeeze air out of my lungs with much struggle
I cannot stop panicking, I feel so upset and scared.

Eep, that sounds scary 8O

Your best friend doesn't seem to be able to calm you down which probably means no one else will be able to either. Do you ever talk to your parents about this? The only thing i can suggest is that you should visit a doctor to get something to calm you down.

Get well soon!

That's been my expedience. Is there anything going on in your life that's triggering them? Coming up with plans to address the causes for my anxiety gives me something to focus on instead of the anxiety that triggers the panic. I take Buspar for anxiety now & I don't get panic attacks anymore. Benzopines are generally better for panic attacks thou. I hope you feel better soon

I've had really bad panic attacks in the past, passing out and throwing up and such. I took valium for a while but went off coz it made me sleepy and moody. When I am in the midst of having an attack, I try to focus on the reason why I would be having one and what could make me feel better. Something mind taxing usually works for me, it switches the focus from panic to concentration.

Thanks all.
I've been given tranquilisers, but I don't want to take them.
I'm saving them for exam season because I know I'll be so stressed then.
Sometimes I just feel like everything's too much.
People, school, exams, family.
I can't deal with all the rich spoilt kids at my school picking on me for being different and not caring about the social ladder
I'm struggling to keep up with work. It's not that I don't know the stuff, it's just I don't see the point in all the work.
Exams start in a month.
My family are too much as well. My parents are in denial of my condition. They look down on me for hurting myself.
My best friend isn't in school either, and I can only talk to him through IM, which he doesn't always use.
I can't deal with stress well.

Hmm.. Why are your parents in denial? Have you never been diagnosed?

They can't accept that I'm different, and I'm not the perfect daughter because of all the things I do. I am diagnosed. They just refuse to believe it.

Ouch! That really blows. My parents sometimes look down on me as well since my sister is far more success full in pretty much anything then i am which can really hurt. But that's peanuts compared to your situation. I feel really bad for you. :(

Try to survive the month and exams! Maybe the "Post a you tube for the unhappy aspies" thread might make you feel a bit better. :P

Sigh :/ They never would have taken me to a psychiatrist if the counsellor at my old school didn't tell them to. It's upsetting how understanding and nice they are to my brother when he has chronic depression, and they're so harsh to me.
I'll have a look. Thanks.
