It's like this.

Every month, I go for a few days where I manage to do everything right for myself. I pull myself in using rigorous control, make myself go the Y twice a day, eat healthy, do my journaling and my recovery work, be productive, etc......

Then I burn myself out and become lazy again for about three weeks.

This has been going on f*****g forever. This "all or nothing" thinking keeps getting in the way of me finding a happy medium.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

I could have written that post myself, but it's not uncommon at all. Nowadays I just prioritize everything, and make sure I hit the must do items for the day. Once they're crossed off the list, I usually feel up to finishing a few more and be okay. Having "maybe" category seems to take the pressure off so I don't feel overwhelmed. There's also time where I can just zone out and do whatever, which helps me get energized and ready to get back on task.

^ All of this ^

How long does it last when you are switched ON?

Sounds like doing too much when you're ON and then not being able to get motivated when you're in the OFF.

I'm stuck in a massive OFF myself right now.

A balance could be not taking on so much and giving yourself breaks more often to recover quicker?

Excuse me, I just need to make a list of all my lists, they're getting out of control.
