People of Earth....

My name is Johnny. I am a quarter-century old. I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome around 1988/89, and before you dismiss me, hear me about on what I have to say......

I have had a rough life. Even though my parents are very loving towards me (despite the fact that I can complain about them being overly prissy at times) my social skills have been crappy. I've been compared to lots of bad people because of it: Jerry Sandusky, Casey Anthony, Charlie Sheen, you name it. I only want to please people, not to annoy them. If that message gets lost on you, then it's your loss, I am sorry to say.

So, this is what I have to say: Don't pre-judge me. Doing such hurts me as a person. Give me a chance, and if we hit it off, we may become the best of friends.

Well you do seem to be a bit quiet, and that's coming from someone who doesn't talk or post much at all. And I seem to be one of the few people, if any, who doesn't mind Charlie Sheen so much.

I wouldn't let those people get you down. I think there will always be people who pre-judge(and I guess I'm a bit guilty of it myself as I'd prefer not to associate with most people in my town), but then they aren't really worth your time anyway. There are certainly more open minded and generally friendly people out there. I tend to at least try to be, on forums like these anyway where it's easier for me to talk to people, so I'm willing to talk to just about anyone. I doubt that there wouldn't be others like me who throw all their initial assumptions aside.

I'm a lot older and I didn't find out that I was an Aspie until I was 35- 6 years ago.

For the life of me, when I was younger I couldn't fathom why I was different from other people, how I could never seem to fit in, or why all my attempts at friendship failed??

I'm sorry you're so sad. No one should be.
But hey, you're not invisible! I notice you post quite a bit in the Random discussion area. You're posts are always fun and interesting. So I guess I, at least, have made something of a judgement of you and its a good one. I like your posts, which means I like your mind.
And whatever happened to make you feel down, I hope you feel better soon.

I may not be perfect...... but I can be anyone's best friends if they have patience with me.

I don't post nearly as much as you or many other people on here, but I read and look through a lot of the messages every day.
From what I've seen, you come across as nice and cute, not annoying and "bad". Though, everyone can be annoying and bad at times...

Well said, Johnny! I think a lot of people would appreciate that too.

I'm not in a good position to take online friends, but I do want to offer one suggestion: I saw the location you have listed, and don't come to L.A...or California for that matter. This is now the land where dreams are shattered, not realized anymore.

BTW; I said my above statement because there are just too many bad apples out there in the world. To me, for every bad apple, there is at least three good samaritans out there.

I never understood why charlie sheen was so hated... I took all his "winning" and "tiger's blood" as smartass answers to what he felt were stupid questions. Stupid people took it seriously instead and started talking about how he's so crazy. Whatever... I've always thought he was funny, and I don't care what anybody else thinks about him. Sure, snorting coke all night probably isn't good for you, but it's his choice, and I don't condemn him for doing it.

On that note; I don't do drugs or drink alcohol. AT ALL.
