This post doesn't relate in any way to Autism or AS. But its just a really shocking thing thats happened and I thought I would talk about it and let it out.

I have a couple of adult friends (much older than me) that I know from the church I go to. I found out sunday that their 18-year old son committed suicide. Apparently this happened last monday (1-15). The funeral was later in the week and by sunday most people in the church knew about it. Well I didn't. I ended up being told sunday by his step-father, a man who is a former teacher of mine and someone I really look up to. He seemed to be coping fairly well, although It was obvious he'd had better days and weeks than what he was going through.

I simply cannot imagine the pain that family just be experiencing. This comes as a shock to us all.

The young man I am referring to had kinda been going down a bad path, getting involved in drugs and etc. But just recently it seemed as if he had been happier and trying to turn his life around. He and I wern't close, but I just saw him maybe 3 weeks ago with his mother, and as far as everyone could tell, he had been happier lately.

:(

I just felt like making a post to let it all out. Those of you who are the spiritual types who believe in prayer, please do so for this family.

Thanks to all who read this as I thought I'd take a moment and vent.

That is very sad. I hope the family gets all the support they need.
