so i got an internship for a theatre program in my town, and i am sosososo grateful. seriously, it's been great.
untillllllllll this new person came in. she's like...a supervisor i guess. she's..ditzy, to put it well. she can't do her make up to save her life which is the first thing that bothered me. and she follows the other intern and i around saying "you need to smile!"
and theeeeeeeen. she said these things. these are literally what she said to me:
"there's a tranny on my softball team. haha, it's a man woman! i mean, we're not supposed to tell...but..."
"i think it's so neat how autistics remember everything! if only we could get in their heads, i know they're actually brilliant people."
and my absolute favorite (sarcasm)
"some kids just deserve to get molested!"
idk
i just needed to talk about this some more. i told my therapist and she said "it sounds to me like she has legitimate mental health problems.."
blah. and i'm stuck with this girl for the next like...two weeks.
I can definitely relate. My supervisor at the job I had before this one said a lot of similarly disturbing things. She had some pretty terrible things to say about the unemployed, the poor, people with learning disabilities, people with PTSD, people whose skin was a slightly different shade, muslims, jews, catholics, people who lived in trailer parks, democrats, atheists, people who believe that Obama was born in the US, etc.
She once said "anyone without a job is either lazy, stupid, or a junkie."
And the worst one: "I think we should be allowed to string up [the N word] if they stay on welfare too long."
