Amazon's trade-in team can get bent
I'm in a poots because I recently tried to trade-in some games. through Amazon
I don't think the Amazon trade-in team is behaving professionally, to be honest.
I reckon they can get bent.
They've deemed three games which i sent them to be "unacceptable" (and are returning them to me), on the following basis -
(1) Borderlands 2 : has the wrong UPC
(2) Luminous Arc 2 : has the wrong UPC
(3) Halo : CE anniversary : the disc is cracked
This would be all very well if that were actually true, but if that IS true then it's Amazon's own fault in the first place.
I got Borderlands 2 and Luminous Arc 2 NEW from Amazon, in the first place.
I don't know what the UPC (barcode) on those is, but whatever it is... Amazon had no shame, to be sending them out with an allegedly "wrong UPC" in the first place - if that's such a mega problem when it comes to buying those back themselves.
Anybody with eyes and half a braincell should be able to see that the items are what they're supposed to be anyway, whatever the 'UPC' says.
(derisive snort at Amazon) Well, when I eventually get those back then I suppose I will just have to sell them on Ebay instead.
And, as for Halo : CE anniversary.... the game is actually pristine.
I bought it new from Amazon, and it's only even been played through once since then.
It hadn't even got one teensy scratch on it, when I sent it off.
The condition was as close to "used / as new" as it's possible to get.
Not even the box was scuffed.
I reckon that some Amazon trade-in team gronk has broken it themselves, and decided to blame me for it (just like what happened in the 'What Would You Do' episode ; with the delivery employee and the broken vase).
The Amazon trade-in team can go and bugger themselves with a stick ; if they think that breaking customers' trade-in goods, and then refusing to pay for them, is a professional way to behave.
grrrrrr !
Add to that...
(4) The World Ends With you : unacceptable / wrong UPS
Because they've just (incorrectly) processed that now.
Again, anyone with a functioning set of eyes and more than half a functioning braincell would be able to tell that the games are exactly what they're supposed to be.
Probably their barcode scanner is dysfunctional, or something.
I guess TWEWY will be going for sale on Ebay as well, then.
Here's hoping that they do actually return those games, and don't just steal them (which wouldn't even surprise me, especially since they're seemingly comfortable with lying about breaking one of them)
Has anybody else here had to put up with Amazon playing silly buggers with their trade-in games ?
