I had the same lectures from my parents (probably not as bad, but I don't know). All I can say is that some of them were helpful, but most of them weren't. LIke others have said, I'm still somewhat angry at my parents for not telling me I have Aspergers until I was about maybe 20 or 25. Until then, I thought I was pretty much normal (which I do, but now with the knowledge that I do in fact have Aspergers and it's not just me being weird or something).

Myself, I ended up moving out and to be honest, it was probably the best choice for me, even though it was a struggle at times.
