Congratulations. And contrary to popular opinion, closing your account hasn't caused you to shrivel up and die yet?
I closed my account down about a year ago. Like you, I was spending waaaay too much time scrolling through whole loads of drivel. I am a little bit OCD, so if the information was there, I
had to look at, and was compelled to scroll back to read everything new since I was last online. For me, half measures just don't work.
I miss being able to easily check out photos of my family overseas (despite continued requests, they are utterly incapable of emailing me the occasional photo, even though they are always uploading to Facebook). But apart from that, I don't regret it for a second. The time I spent reading inane stuff on Facebook, I can now spend more usefully (except for when I get caught up reading stuff on WP!)
I do get strange looks from people when I tell them I'm not on Facebook, but then hey, I get strange looks from people anyway.
