I feel alone most of the time. But it isn't always a bad thing. Just when it's accompanied by depression. Usually I enjoy my own company. And I usually have something to occupy myself with so that I don't get too bored.

I feel alone most of the time, and I usually like it. I can be myself without getting insulted.

I like being alone because it gives me time to think and time to do calligraphy.

The best day in my life was when I moved out on my own.

Being (or feeling, in that case) alone isn't much of a problem.

It's only a problem when you're surrounded by tens/hundreds of people (preferrably in social interactions of their own) and you feel alone.

(but then, you could counter by saying, "What's the point in social interaction, anyway? For the most part, it's foolish ladder-climbing?" I guess people are attracted to a challenge...)

Same here!

I want to move out of my house into an apartment sometime this year, but I'm not sure how long this process will take...

I would go insane if I lived "on my own"! !

I plan on renting an apartment with another guy (not sure who?) who has a similar disability as I do -- however, I have no desire to have a roomate that has a physical disability... This might take awhile because apartment complexes that are designed especially for people with "developmental disabilties" are pretty scarce in the area that I live in -- although my plan isn't totally impossible! !

I wish to be independent and do not care to live in an apartment where a staff member stays in the actual apartment "itself"...but have no problem with a staff member that would stay "elsewhere" in the building (ex. on another floor)!

I moved out of my house the day I got my first paycheck. Granted, I didn't have any money for a while, but I was ten times as comfortable by myself than I was with my family.

I can't pretend to know what your circumstances are of course, but you should consider trying things out on your own if you're capable. It's a scary thing I understand, but worth it. Once you have a job and such, I think you'll find you're around people more than you want to be. lol.

I'm not willing to change my mind, BUT...I think what I actually meant to say was THIS:

I would move into a 2-bedroom apartment and my roomate and I would each have our own room... We would share the rest (living room, bathroom, kitchen, etc)... I could still "be by myself" when I want to!! :)

I always feel alone. I can be with one person or a room full of people and I still feel alone.

I don't get lonely very often though but sometimes I do. Like if I feel like going out and doing something and there's nobody to do anything with because I don't have enough friends, then I might feel a little lonely. It doesn't last very long though.
