The midget one. Not actually a midget, he's just short so I call him that. He's got issues. Get this. Last night my youngest son, 18 and will be 19 in March, was at the gas station buying a pizza with his friend. Across the street the midget was lying in wait for speeders and drunks, which I think is a fairly decent use of his time. But, when my son went in to order a pizza the other cop in there got a call on his radio from the midget. Asking about him. Even though he's deaf in one ear he could hear them talking about him on the radio. He got his pizza and went to go home. His friend was driving in our van because my son hasn't got his license yet.

As soon as the pull out, here comes the midget, all overkill, WOOP WOOP with the siren and all. Of course he had to hit the siren, even though it was about 11 at night and not another car was on the road and nobody was out except the other cop. So he searches them. He checks the license and insurance. He does all his things to try to find something to mess with him about. While sitting in the van, our own van, he reaches over and picks up a cigarette but doesn't light it, just puts it behind his ear. It's illegal to buy or smoke cigarettes under 19, but half the kids in town walk around with them behind their ear, and some smoke in front of the cops and nobody cares. Well, because he couldn't find anything else, he gave him a ticket for putting the cigarette behind his ear. Now he has to go to court, pay fines, and probably be on probation for a year because he touched a cigarette. What. The. f**k.

Within the past couple months there have been several deaths and one near death from OD, in this town. So, I'm very glad that the midget spends his time hunting down dangerous cigarette smokers rather than dope dealers. I feel so safe.

I doubt he will though, because as soon as I heard about it I went to the grocery store and bought a pig head and I bought a live rooster from across the street. I let it be known why I bought them. It'll be back to him before the day is out. That's the most ridiculous thing!

Sounds like the local constabulary around my neck of the woods.. Stay out 1 minute after borough-imposed curfew, and your looking at jail time. It doesn't matter if you're just getting off work and you're on your own property. Justice in this town is like French jurisprudence: you're guilty until proven innocent, and you are never proved innocent.

Why is there a curfew? I can't image anything but the most serious danger to limit people's freedom that way. People basically have to stay indoors at night or something?

I understand you being upset, but I'm sure you can get the charges dropped. There's no proof of your son smoking the cigarette. I'm pretty sure if you brought it to court it would be dropped.

I got ticketed after being on the road for 3 seconds. I pulled out of my apartment complex started down the street and got pulled over for 1) forgetting to turn my headlights on, 2) Not having my insurance card on me, nevermind the fact that he could have just looked up my information in his system to let him know I did have insurance and 3) Some other frivolous thing I can't remember, but it was the same as the insurance card thing.

I took it to court, got the headlights dropped because I had just pulled out and didn't have enough time to realize they weren't on, got the insurance thing dropped because I do have insurance I just didn't have my insurance card and a lot of other people who get puled over for the same thing just get their insurance information looked up to prove they have insurance so why the cop didn't do it is beyond me (laziness or whatever). And the third thing I also got dropped.

It was just annoying to have to go to traffic court, but it could've been worse. I could've just lied down, took it and paid fines.

Bad cops always get what's coming to them.

There was this one Douche bag cop in my home town (he was a midget to), and boy howdy did he get his come upons. His favorite thing to do was to pull over young teenagers in our town, especially Mexicans, and harass them for no good reason. This one time my brother and his friend were just sitting in a car talking, and the cop pulls up to him flashing his lights. So he asks for the friends license and registration, and asks them what they are doing out there, "just taking a break and eating some snacks officer," then the cop almost out of nowhere goes "don't lie to me! I know you have Marijuana in there I can smell it!" The smell the DB Cop was smelling was actually a run-over skunk bout a mile up the road, neither my brother nor my friend had any narcotics on them what so ever, but the cop searches the vehicle anyway. After he conducts a meaningless search of the car he says "I know you have marijuana there you must've thrown it out somewhere!" But hey guess what? The dick bag can't do s**t without probable cause so he lets them both go with a "warning" and says he "got [his] eyes on [them]."

So this dickless loser is married to a very sweet beautiful women, and has a kid with her, but you know what the piece of s**t cheated on her anyway. And with no other than a friend and fellow officers wife. The man who was cheated on went ballistic and nearly killed the douchebag. Anyways the DB cop is now in witness protection far away from our town, last I heard somewhere in the middle of the Fresno Valley. We are lucky to be rid of him, and the new local sheriff is a very nice respectful man.

Well I hope the OP's as*hole also gets his come upons to.

Bringing out the heavy artillery,a hogs head AND a rooster.Lord a Mercy :D
In some small towns the cops can be pretty bad, outside Fayetteville,AR there is one little town that you always see people getting cuffed and drug off.The cops in my little town are pretty decent,I think because it's a tourist town, they don't really bother anyone unless you are being a jack ass.Sometimes they are pretty useless, once there was a woman with a gun outside off the school bus driver's house,he called the sheriff, the sheriff told him to stay away from the windows, she'll get tired and go home. :D

Because of all the destruction and defacing public property that went on several years ago.

It could be worse; I could still be living with my brother in Spring Garden Township, or, as I like to call that municipality, The People's Republic so Spring Garden Township.

Weird I thought the legal age to smoke cigarettes in all states was 18, not 19....either way though it seems like there should be some way to fight that I mean since he didn't smoke it perhaps any charges would be dropped when it goes to court.

Bad Boys by the reggae group Inner Circle. It was released as a single in the mid 90s, and I'm lucky enough to have a copy. The full song is great, and improves on the snippet used for the Cops TV show. "Bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do when they come for you?"

The age to purchase tobacco is 18 or 19, depending on the state. Alabama and Florida, it is illegal for them to even possess tobacco. I think it would be be very unlikely the charges would be dropped.

He did sort of ask for that.Only a DA starts yelling at the cops when they are stopped and have their stingers out.The only time I've had trouble with the cops was when I was a rowdy teenager. And some of them were actually pretty cool,we were down at the river with a case of beer and two cops showed up,instead of arresting us for under age drinking and arresting the 21 year old that bought us the beer, they just had us pour it out.We were bummed out,but not as bad as if we had got arrested. In my older years I have never been harassed or even stopped. The cops here stay pretty busy with the tourists and meth heads, they leave everyone else alone unless you are being a jerk.
