Yesterday my mother told me that my brother was right when he told her I should have never gotten internet access, that it makes me too upset when I read about the awful things trolls and cyberbullies and haters who hate people they don't even know only because they like something the haters hate, like kid's cartoons and toys and casual video games. She told me I'm being brainwashed by it. I guess she's right, for years if I see anything in the paper or on TV that upsets me I obsess over it for days or even months. But if I quit the internet altogether I'm sure I will go through bad withdrawl. I hardly ever watch TV because nearly everything on it is just plain horrible and I can only do so much to keep myself entertained when I'm stuck alone in my apartment most of the time, isolated and frustrated because there's nothing to do that interests me in this hick town I'm in. I get anxious and upset and obsess over things way too easily and I hardly ever even read replies to my own comments because if someone said something cruel I think my whole body will shut down immediately and I will die. I don't even really like it when I get positive comments, it makes me feel weird and creepy.

Speaking of which, don't bother replying. I just wanted to get my feelings out. :(

For me, this is escapism for financial and stress issues and I could use a little vacation from interacting with people on the internet seeing how I'm causing fights and unnecessary drama :/ It's always good to get your feelings down on some form of media ...

The internet provides people with an unfiltered, inconsequential outlet for them to say and do whatever they want.

You're going to run into trolls and cyber bullies, and there's not much you can do other than ignore them.
