:(

This has been on my back for 2+ months. Initially it was much larger and swollen, and itchy. I assumed it was a spider bite. But the thing is still there and sometimes inceases then decreases in size :? :? :?. Sometimes it's barely noticable and then will be swollen again. I have not been able to bring myself to go to a dr, I am severely agoraphobic and the dr I usually go to is on maternity leave, and I'm afraid of meeting a new person.

The "thing" is about 2 inches by 3 inches. It's still a little itchy.

Does anyone have any ideas what this is?

I don't have the slightest idea, then again, I am not a doctor.

As difficult as it may be to do, it would be best (assuming it is still bothering you / concerning you) to see a doctor. Yeah, a couple hours of discomfort, but if it is something serious, better that than to have to deal with whatever it may be if it gets worse.

Don't get me wrong, I hate doctors too. (Thanks, bad psychiatrists / therapists....) As hard as it may be though, if it is serious, better safe (albeit uncomfortable) than sorry.

I have no idea. But I had something on the palm off my hand like that for 6 months.
When one day fluid came out revealing a very small metalic wire maybe 1 mm long.

leaking a smelly fluid.

Yeah something is below your skin that is not part of your body. I guess it need to be
"lanced" or cut open.

Could be anything (??)
Wouldn't worry to much, if it doesn't hurt, it's probably not dangerous.
Personally, I have neurodermatitis and sometimes looked like a zombie because of my eczema, so what you have there is hardly noticeable IMO.

Get some clean bedding, and see if topical benedryl helps. Other than that you need to see a doctor or a dermatologist.

You think it's bedbugs? Wouldn't there be multiple bites?

I wash my sheets regularly... do I need to throw out my mattress? It's only a few years old :(.

maybe you are allergic to the wash, and that is where it shows up
or
maybe it is the remenants of a spider bite

if you are afraid of the doctors, try the health (herbal health) store. people there are always knowledgeable and may have an idea of what route to take, probably a plant extract and something internal to fight/draw out infection.

But, it doesn't look good, you are worried, and those are what you should listen for when your body is talking to you.

mama would probably put a slice of onion on it or something..
better get it checked out

Yeah I'm cooking a pasta salid as I write this. So after I eat I will try to do some searching for info for you.

I notice in the center of it like a crater and a slash in it forming sorta like a letter "Q".

Oh my rib pain now has worked its was to my back. I feel most the pain in the back now and not in the front :(

I hadn't thought of onion... I did try castor oil on it and the swelling went down, but then went back up :?.

You really need to go see a doctor. You're not going to get any answers by posting pictures on here.
Probably nothing, there's hardly anything visible in the pictures. But if it has been there for months and is itching, (and if it grows and becomes more painful), then you really must have it looked at.
I have social phobia myself. Admittedly not severly, but i do understand your situation.

It is not worth taking risks when it comes to matters such as health. If it gets any worse, then you need to have it looked at, there is no other option.
