"Gimme one of everything"

In my psych class today (I'm in college) we talked about suicide, and with it a lot of the warning signs leading up to the act itself. In looking through them, I found myself picking out several things that described me pretty well. Severe depression, social withdrawal, no close friends, as well as a couple others.

As of right now, I have no thoughts about killing myself, but I can't help but think I'm on a one way road to doing just that....

I'm not looking for things like "it gets better, don't lose hope" or "stay positive", because I've had enough of that. I need reassurance

Help me.

Maybe those warning signs don't apply to autistics, that is, social withdrawal wouldn't lead to suicide on autistic people.

Are you thinking of committing suicide?
Do you have a plan?
Do you have the means to carry out that plan?

No to everything, but again, the warning signs concern me...

i have also noticed this, and my psycologist has subtly informed about my 'plans' on several occasions, so yeah, i display them.

as linatet mentioned, those signs dont apply to autistics 1:1, becouse our 'default state' is different.
the warning signs are written by NTs to appy to other NTs, you'll notice they are different from how the 'normal' NT works, but for autistics, they often are normal states and many of us are happy like that (withdrawn from society, for example).

i know you dont want to hear the normal reassurance, but untill you (day)dream about plans on how to kill yourself, there are no problems, go talk to a psycologist if you want to be sure

Good! Because I'd hate too hear about a fellow Aspie committing suicide since I have a sort of group love for each and everyone one you people here!

You hear me people on WP ! Don't any of you members f*****g dare try and commit suicide ! This stupid world isn't worth it ! I don't mean to sound so harsh but I do care about people both online and offline and it does disturb me to think about any of you people killing your selves :( I do care about total strangers and if that makes me stupid then fine !

If your answer to those three questions I asked every changes to yes, then be concerned. Right now, you have nothing to be concerned about. People commit suicide when they think about it a lot, have a concrete plan for committing suicide, and have a means of carrying out that plan. Those are the three biggest predictors of committing suicide. It doesn't sound like you are very suicidal right now. There are suicide hotlines you can call if the urge to commit suicide gets worse. I have had to be hospitalized for suicidal ideation related to major depression. I have a lot of thoughts of wanting to die. Sometimes I even think about committing suicide when things are going bad. The only time I really get scared is when the thoughts turn into planning. I don't have the means to commit suicide. All the weapons were removed from my house after I was hospitalized. That makes it harder for me to carry out any plans for committing suicide. I have the suicide hotline programmed into my phone if I get really suicidal. I am prepared to go back to the hospital if I get that way again. I have chronic depression, so suicide is a possibility for me. Just have to monitor it. Hope this information helps you figure out your own personal risk for suicide. Do some of the things I do if you are really afraid that you might one day commit suicide. (stay away from weapons, program the suicide hotline in your phone, monitor how intensely you want to commit suicide).
