If you mean Life then god knows really! Imean I dont think anybody can truly Awsner that the only it is really about is to create more life (children) and then for them to do the same.

I do belive that but I truly feel life is about yourself, friends and love, the only goal isthe one you set and thier will be times when life seems pointless but we might as well di what we love in our time here and fir me thats being with others who love me for me.

Who said it had to mean anything?

This world is just a giant role-playing theme park for an immortal consciousness amusing itself in fantasy. You're an imaginary character in a drama that isn't really happening.

Relax. Enjoy. It's just a ride.

In the big picture, life has no real meaning, it just exists. Of course, since we're all here anyhow, and humans have this innate drive to attach some sort of meaning to their lives, I've determined that the most logical course of action in life is just to do whatever feels good, so long as it doesn't hurt other people.

be the best person you can figure out how to be, while hurting the fewest people the least amount. preferably hurting nobody but a lot of us can't figure out how to keep gauche things from exiting our mouths. often the only practical resort is to heed the wisdom of Benjamin franklin, "'tis better to keep silent and as a fool thought about, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."

That is not much to go on, but I guess you mean life in general. Animals live simply to live, and you can do that, for we are just very intelligent animals basically. Or you can live to see things you want to see, do things you want to do, and fill your life with different experiences. It all depends on what urges you have that need satisfying.

this song lays it all out for me. It's timeless (written in 1982). Just as applicable today

I was watching the NASA channel the other day to see the Space X dragon get attached to the International Space Station. You really need to see the view of Earth from that vantage point to realize we are just a speck in the universe of things

GRATEFUL DEAD LYRICS
"Throwing Stones"

Picture a bright blue ball, just spinning, spinning free,
Dizzy with eternity.
Paint it with a skin of sky,
Brush in some clouds and sea,
Call it home for you and me.
A peaceful place or so it looks from space,
A closer look reveals the human race.
Full of hope, full of grace
Is the human face,
But afraid we may lay our home to waste.
There's a fear down here we can't forget.
Hasn't got a name just yet.
Always awake, always around,
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Now watch as the ball revolves
And the nighttime falls.
Again the hunt begins,
Again the bloodwind calls.
By and by, the morning sun will rise,
But the darkness never goes
From some men's eyes.
It strolls the sidewalks and it rolls the streets,
Staking turf, dividing up meat.
Nightmare spook, piece of heat,
It's you and me.
You and me.
Click flash blade in ghetto night,
Rudies looking for a fight.
Rat cat alley, roll them bones.
Need that cash to feed that jones.
And the politicians throwin' stones,
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
[Bridge:]
Commissars and pin-stripe bosses
Roll the dice.
Any way they fall,
Guess who gets to pay the price.
Money green or proletarian gray,
Selling guns 'stead of food today.
So the kids they dance
And shake their bones,
And the politicians throwin' stones,
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Heartless powers try to tell us
What to think.
If the spirit's sleeping,
Then the flesh is ink
History's page will thus be carved in stone.
And we are here, and we are on our own
On our own.
On our own.
On our own.
[Instrumental]

If the game is lost,
Then we're all the same.
No one left to place or take the blame.
We can leave this place and empty stone
Or that shinin' ball we used to call our home.
So the kids they dance
And shake their bones,
And the politicians throwin' stones,
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
[Bridge two:] Shipping powders back and forth
Singing black goes south and white comes north.
In a whole world full of petty wars
Singing I got mine and you got yours.
And the current fashion sets the pace,
Lose your step, fall out of grace.
And the radical, he rant and rage,
Singing someone's got to turn the page.
And the rich man in his summer home,
Singing just leave well enough alone.
But his pants are down, his cover's blown...
And the politicians throwin' stones,
So the kids they dance
And shake their bones,
And it's all too clear we're on our own.
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Picture a bright blue ball,
Just spinnin', spinnin, free.
Dizzy with the possibilities.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down

And if that doesn't work there is always:

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream

There is no meaning. We are all just an accumulation of molecules, conveniently arranged to reproduce themselves using the bodies that our genetics devise. The fact that we even have a consciousness is irrelevant. We could just as well be plants with no sense of self at all and it wouldn't matter.

If you want meaning, you have to come up with it yourself. The only meaning this life has is that which you impose upon it. If you want your life to be about helping others, then it is up to you to do that. If you want to reproduce miniature versions of yourself, then you have to find a way to reproduce. The only reason to go on living is that which you come up with for yourself.

For some people chocolate fudge is reason enough. For others, it's their interaction with people around them. For me, it's taking a good photograph. I'm a pretty good photographer. But i know, with work, i can learn to take a better photograph. It's that striving toward something better that i live for.

What is important to you? What are the things in your life that are worth working at to make better? Maybe you'll see it differently, but for me, it's this struggle to do some important thing well that makes it worth living for yet another day.
