The hospital just called me. My mother died about 30 minutes ago. I'm completely numb. I'm terrified of when this hits. I'm not putting anything on FB yet until after I talk to all my kids and can't reach them all right now, so if you are on my FB, please don't post condolances yet. I probably won't be able to reach my son until this afternoon.

I am very sorry to hear this. I had issues with my mother; when she died I thought I was handling it well but people on the phone (my job) asked me if I was OK (they had never asked this before). Were your kids close to her?

I'm sorry to hear this, what comforted me when my grandma died who I was closer to anyone was knowing that it truly was her time. I had seen her grow weaker and the pain that she was in those last 6 months or so and while it came so suddenly(3 days after we spent Christmas together) it would of been selfish of me to want to keep her here. I'm not a very religious person, I don't know what happens when you die but I don't want this to be the end and I hope to see those that I've loved and lost again as well get to know and love those I never got a chance to in life.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss; my condolences to you. It's always a jarring thing, even when we think we are prepared. Have lost both parents, tore me apart each time. Take good care of yourself as you navigate through this.

My condolences! It isn´t easy to loose ones parents. They´ve always been there. It is a good thing, that you have children to share it with. Take good care of yourself.

I am very sorry for your loss. Our loved ones that pass away are not lost; they lose us. One day we too shall pass and see them again. Prayers to you and your family.

At least she's no longer suffering. I don't know what else to say. If you need to cry/scream/whatever, then do so. I heard that if you fill a bucket with water, put your mouth underwater, and scream, that the screaming is a lot less audible.
