As of today I'm 47. June of 2013 after taking the 2nd test I was diagnosed with Lymes disease. My doctor thinks I've had it 15-20 years, if not longer. I have in one way or another mowed lawns either for neighbors or through my own lawn service since almost every year since 1982. In the late 80s I started having nearly constant headaches, sensitivity to flouride in tootpaste, sensitivity to honey, then corn syrup solids/corn starch. In the early 90s I would get headaches from just smelling some of the pizzas that I had to bring with me on pizza deliveries. I started getting mysteriously tired for no reason I could understand, then other days I would feel really good. I eventually was getting tired from many different food ingredients and was having a lot of depression problems. In 2005 I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia which explained my wildly varying ups and downs. My doctor later suggested I might have a little bit of Aspergers. Then later suggest I stop eating any wheat that is not sprouted and flourless. I finally did that last summer and that lifted a bit of my depression.

In the span of 1 year starting in early 2001 I gained a stalker, who gave me trouble up into 2008,,, called the cops on this creep who used to be a cop, then was threatened by him and later on his buddies tried to frame me a few times through the middle 2000s,,,,, and was threatened with harm by a local drug dealer.

My last 20 years has been like a trip to hell and back. I tried the anti-biotics treatments that I was prescribed a year ago but had a reaction to them and I felt like I was drunk while on the pills. My family most of these past years has been horrible calling me lazy and telling me I was faking it. In only the last 2 years I have been telling one brother how bad I have been emotionally and how much my families poor treatment has bothered me. My mother has an explosive temper, is controlling and treats me like a 5 year old at times. Our landlord likes to harrass me and has even vandalized things I have had in the back of my truck.
I can't write anymore. I just had to vent.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, OP. I live in one of the Lyme 'hot spots' on the east coast and have had a whole range of health problems related to Lyme Disease myself, but only over the last few years--not 15-20!

In my case, I did a course of antibiotics after each (known) tick-bite that gave me a rash, but the bacterial infection seems to have triggered an autoimmune response. I've had some doctors suggest I might be dealing with Sjogren's and/or Fibromyalgia, but don't have a concrete diagnosis at this time. I just know my health is continuing to go downhill, despite having been a health nut for years. And, honestly, I don't know if my current symptoms are fully autoimmune in nature or just the result of continued Lyme infection that was not wiped out completely from the antibiotic treatment, which makes figuring out treatment options kind of a joke. (Treatment for autoimmune disorders typically involves suppressing the immune system, but that's the worst thing to do if fighting a baterial infection).

I can empathize with your post and how hard it is to deal with other problems in your life while you are very sick on top of everything else, especially when you have little support from friends or family and people label you as being lazy or, as in my case, a hypochondriac. I hope you hang in there! To have dealt with this as long as you have and still be standing, you are stronger than you know.

That's completely awful to hear, I am so sorry you had to go through all that s**t :(

If you ever want/need a shoulder to cry, vent, scream, laugh or anything please please feel free to PM me.

It's an awful feeling to hear about the abuse people have gone through and if I can do even the most minute thing to help I would love to help.

I don't care that we're total stranger, nobody deserves to be treated the way you have and i'll do anything I can to help. So please know i'm (and i'm sure many others) here to offer you any support you want, or don't wan't.

Don't ever hesitate to ask, nobody deserves to be treated the way you have and it makes me sad to hear that people have been so ignorant and hateful to you for such a long time :(

Hi OP

I am in the same boat with 15 years late stage Lyme, but thankfully without the other problems though my family deserted me and l have no friends of course. Most of my time is spent flat out feeling like l have been hit by a truck. You need to lower stress levels to fight the Lyme and an anti candida diet as the two often go together. I was a lot better without gluten and casein. Now l am treating with frequencies as l am too sick for antibx and herbs just set my immune system off. Look up spooky2 if interested. I really hope you can be left in peace to heal.

I get a lot of outdoor time and I worry about lymes disease. I'm not in a hotspot fortunately.

It's very unlucky to have wasted so much of your life to it. I hope you work something out.

Sorry to hear about all that,I have an aqua intense with it,she has been fighting it for years. We have Lyme's here, and plenty of ticks.I just hope I never get the one tick out of thousands that has it.There's even a couple other disease they spread,I had a dog die from one,Ehrlichia. And a new one where you can't eat meat from mammals anymore, you have a reaction, can't remember the name.I remember the good old days where all you had to worry about was Rocky Mountain Spotted fever and a Rabbit fever.
