Why did I flip about moving to Los Angeles?

As you know, my dream in life is to fulfill living the "Los Angeles" part of my handle; that is, living there and not just visiting there. Yesterday morning, I was feeling down on myself (27, single [but I do have a woman in my life], unable to find decent employment, but that is changing slowly), and said that I would NOT take my return flight to Seattle from L.A. this point next week. I got some negative reactions:

"If you're so reckless that you're thinking about missing your flight back to Seattle before you even take the flight to go to LA then you're probably not mature enough to handle the move to LA in the first place." Well, excuse me! That's not for you to decide, despite how expensive L.A. can be! So I put the person on my block list........ how can I realistically make my L.A. dream come true?

At any rate, wish me luck in making my L.A. dream come true! I will be there starting Wednesday, and returning home Monday afternoon. (For Anime Expo, of course! If you live in the L.A. area, and happen to be downtown near the convention center, feel free to say hello to me!)

I wish you lots of luck. I used to live in LA from 1997-1999. I was there because I wanted to learn how to write screenplays. I got a little sidetracked because I continued with my alcoholic and drug ways. I did make a few friends there but most were users. I worked in a nursing agency, Universal Studios Hollywood, then finally as a nurse before I went to live in upstate NY.

LA was almost the death of me. I did run with the gangs in Hollywood and ended up in seedy places like Inglewood, Gardiner and Van Nuys. A lot of people I ran with ended up in prison. I was so suicidal that I called the hotline one night to save me. (Would you believe they put me on hold?!) I was homeless a lot of the time in LA, though. Had I lived in Encino or Burbank and had a good job I would have been okay.

where exactly are you thinking of staying?

Not sure. I will be there from tomorrow until Monday morning for Anime Expo 2014; it's @ the Convention Center downtown.
