It's not only you. I often feel like I am a small child being thrown to the wolves.

And things can shift from ok to people attacking in an instant, with no warning, as many times an attack serves someone else's internal agenda and may not be about the other person at all! Plus people join together to attack if they see it happening at times.

It also happens though that if one person stands up for you, others may follow.

I was thrown to the wolves when I was sent to elementary school.

I was thrown to the wolves once. But the wolves threw me back.

Nope, not just you. I've lost count of the number of times it's happened; these days, I just sort of wait until I make another mistake and it happens again.

I feel like I'm thrown in with the wolves when I'm in a crowded place and I don't know anyone. Sometimes the looks I get feel like an attack.

I felt like I was thrown in with the wolves at my last job. When half the crew left, and the people they hired to replace them started messing with me. I really liked that job before the turnover. Middle school, High school, and my first year away at college were tough as well.

Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only one out there that felt this way! I also feel like a teenager trapped in a 37 year old man's body. Your post brings tears to my eyes.
