Feeling Stressed
I am feeling stressed about so many things right now. I feel like my mind is just racing. I have so much homework to do, I have to really study for a big Algebra exam which will determine whether I fail or pass the course, I have other tests, homework, and quizzes for other classes due next week, I have been having to do this and that, and I just can't catch a break. On top of that, I have no money and neither does my family. I may have to move soon because my dad can't afford to keep paying for the house. Everything just sucks right now. I feel like I just can't get ahead and that it is always something that I have to do deal with. I just want to sit and do nothing and not have to deal with people. My brain is on full overload right now. I can't handle this enormous amount of stress that I am facing at the moment. I am 21 and I feel that as I get older, life gets harder and more stressful. Life is hard enough for neuro-typicals, and it is even harder for us Aspies. My life sucks right now because I have so many things to worry about and I don't know what the outcome is going to be of everything.
Hey.
Have you thought about lessening your course load? Maybe drop a class if it's not too late? It's better if you do well in a few classes each semester than to take on an overwhelming course load and barely pass. Sure, I understand if you want to demonstrate to your future employers/grad schools that you are taking on a challenging course load, but it seems like you're burning out already. If I were you, then I would take the minimum units required (depends if you're receiving financial aid) and learn to study/work efficiently. For example, one of my study habits is to review the material immediately after lecture ends because everything is still fresh in my mind. Even if you only have 10 minutes, using that limited time will help you retain the info and help prevent cramming when tests/finals come around Do you study better or get more work done in a classroom, library, or home setting? Personally, I study in the library rather than at home because there are less distractions. A major part of school and in general, life, is learning how to balance and prioritize. Everyone is different, so take the time to learn about yourself, your study/work habits, and figure out how you can be more productive in a shorter amount of time.
