I'm done with the chronic unemployment and struggle. In a fair, just world, I can be as weird and wonderful as I want to be but this is the real world. I just want the cure so that I can get ahead.

What cure though? seems like the making it a fair just world is more likely and that might also not happen ever, life can be frustrating. Seems like anything close to a cure they can come up with are things that could also have rather significant unwanted effects.

The cure for ASD. It's an NT world and I have to fit in.

The NT world isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's just a bunch of people trying to copy each other and being sucked into popular culture.

i dont want a cure; autism isn't the problem, the reactions of society are the problem.

also, autism cannot be cured without changing a persons personality, so taking a cure will be effectively suicide; no thank you

The grass is always greener on the other side, ain't it?

Imagine NT's would have a perfect life... quite sure they don't. For me personally; a cure would be irrelevant. It would still provide plenty of issues. Or as I sometimes like to put it "I've got 99 problems and AS ain't one of them".

Granted, my AS might be an issue in some fields, but I'm quite sure I could do with extensive personality restructuring as well as a big pile of money to actually afford education that suits me before I would have to look into my AS issues. And I'm not entirely sure if I'm wiling to give that up.

Brings me to the following; are you sure your issues are actually AS related? Say you take the cure, and as it turns out, you actually have a bunch of personality disorders, brooding underneath... and you actually "cured" something that wasn't even the problem to begin with.

I'll show myself out again :)

cure. idk I'd rather have the cure for emotions. without emotions we wouldn't feel depressed over being messed up. people couldn't upset us by saying mean things. none of the good emotions are good for em, so losing them all wouldn't be so bad. everyone should take the drug though, probably make humanity way better then we currently all. after all hate, anger, etc are all emotions responsible for some of our worst tragedies.
