The kids at my school call me dumb.
Acually, in sixth grade, I was more stupid than I am now. Now, kids just laugh at whatever I say! I can't open my moulth without being made fun of.
That's exactly what it was like for me in school; at one point I thought of applying serious thought to replies to things that were said to me before opening my mouth, except the first time I tried it: this smart mouthed creep who had spoken to me and had waited for my reply (which was about half a minute in the making) said "You sure put a lot of thought into what you say" (in a very sarcastic tone; which was what everybody
always spoke to me in).
I was embarrassed, and never attempted that again.
Around adults: it's easy to get away with saying very little; as a kid, on the other hand: the other kids would
insist that I speak (always with big grins, and expressions of eager anticipation) just so they could make fun of whatever I said (they knew me well enough to know that whatever came out of my mouth: it would be odd enough for them to mock and ridicule).
