Long story short I had brain cancer, I've always felt alone among both cancer survivors due my autism and among aspies I've never met another who had cancer. Id just like to know for the sake of saying I'm not the only one.

Surely I can't be the only one, can I?

Are you in remission now, or cured? You used the past tense.

If so, I'm so glad that you've conquered this.

You'll conquer your autism as well.

I'm sure there are other people in your situation.

I'm glad for you, sir!

Despite your autism (or maybe because of your autism), you have a strong, healthy component to you.

Have you embarked on a career as of yet?

I haven't. I'm a civil servant who is going to retire in about 7-8 years. It's a job, not a career.

Nope I was diagnosed at 9(the cancer) so I never got to finish a proper education, compounded by the fact i only got my autism diagnosis 3 days ago. I was left with a double whammy of autism(not even being aware i had it) plus the metal fallout of having cancer as a 13 year old being discarged after the treatment ended. In short I was a wreck and was left to pick up my own pieces. I want to get my GCSEs and go to uni and finally fulfil my lifelong ambition of becoming a palaeontologist.

Paleoanthropology was one of my "special interests" when I was young.

My math says there's 29,000 autistic, childhood, braincancer survivors worldwide, assuming that other countries have first world medical technology, which they don't. I fudged alot of numbers.

It's not zero tho!

It clicked one day. I have empathy now. It has downsides i didn't expect. It's going somewhat poorly, since people tend to suck at new things. That's how you know it's true.

I know statistically I cant be the only one but when your only person you know who's had cancer brain or otherwise you just have a feeling of profound loneliness. Id just like to meet or hear of another autistic who had cancer to kind of validate I'm not the only one and break the feeling.

I believe you should establish commonality in other aspects of life. I believe you would feel more fulfilled if you did so, rather than focus solely upon a single commonality. Sometimes, even if one is a cancer survivor, they might not reveal that fact before you've established common interest in other things

I've had skin cancer and 2 TBI's (traumatic brain injuries). This is not exactly the same as you but does have both elements of cancer and brain abnormalities with in addition to common autistic spectrum.

My younger brother had HFA and brain cancer, though the brain cancer was a missed secondary following lung cancer, and inoperable, unfortunately.
