My uncle fell in the Murray river in va Friday. My mother had a friend take her to her mother's house while they are looking for his body. I stayed in GA to look after the livestock. I've heard no news really. They haven't found him yet even with dive teams and cadaver dogs. Most of what I know is from news articles posted to my cousin's Facebook page.

My uncle was the nicest person you could ever want to meet, but mentally challenged. He had the metal capacity of a preteen child and couldn't swim. But he was proud to have a job and live on his own. He was always laughing and never met a stranger.

He was married and his wife passed away from cancer a couple of years ago. I keep telling myself he's with her. It helps some. But it's hard to be here waiting for news.

We are still looking for the body. But we suspect foul play now. His house was broken into and the person he was with has changed his story several times. That makes it worse, I can't imagine what kind of person would hurt my uncle.

I can't find any news updates on this story since April 14th, when the search was still ongoing. They suspended search efforts due to weather and there's no word at all after that.

Incoming Weather to Suspend Search
