Well, last week my mother took my dog for a walk without his muzzle, got between him and another dog and was bitten. Now the health inspector has to come and check him for rabies. (My Mom's fine.)

I am starting my job trial for a potential employer tomorrow. So I want to make a good impression, but I'm having trouble concentrating.

And I moved last weekend and am still unpacking and getting settled.

So I'm worried that I may have to put my dog down. Ontario is not a fan of Staffordshire Bulls, even though he is crossed with lab. That will be upsetting as I'm quite fond of him.

I feel that if one more thing happens I will have an unpleasant reaction.

Hi Ann,

Sorry you're going through all this right before your first job.

Why would they ask you to put your dog down? Wasn't he the one who was bitten?

Don't let them take your dog. Not sure I've met any like yours but a surprising number of folks I know have pitbulls and they're friendlier than my cat some days. Some of my favorite dogs, it's nurture and certainly not nature!

He really is a sweetie. He didn't mean to bite my Mom. He was going for the other dog and Mom got in between them. I told her so many times that he was too strong for her to walk. And that he has to have his muzzle on outside.

I hope they don't make you put him down.

I hope your mother uses a muzzle next time.

I really really doubt it that your dog has rabies.

There will be no next time. She realizes now why I told her not to walk him.

No kidding. But now I have to get him his shots and update his license. Urgg

Well I feel like I am hanging on by a thread. My job trial went well this morning, but it was stressful.
Bell didn't turn on my Internet. Turns out they need to put a jack in. Why there isn't one is beyond me. But I'm going to go with cogeco and get tv (if they approve me as I had a bankruptcy last year.) And that won't be for two weeks.
So I'm still using my BlackBerry 10.
I am starting to wonder if I am not capable of taking care of myself. Normal functioning seems beyond me.
I'm back in tomorrow for my second day. I'm starting to feel very angry.

No, you're doing fine; these are just the annoyances of set-up with things like the utility companies-- everyone can experience teething troubles with moving and setting up cable, phone etc. They can be absolutely infuriating and make you feel like you can't do this stuff -- I get the same way. When there are complications I feel like I can't handle things. You especially, right now, have the additional worry of this situation with your dog. Just keep on doing what you need to do.

Hang in there.

Thanks.
It went okay this morning, but I'm exhausted. Cleaning is hard work. My next job trial is with a charity shop. I may like it better. Either way, I hope one turns into a job.
I meet with my facilitator tomorrow. I feel so disoriented in my new place. I've started unpacking and feel a bit better. But my life feels like a treadmill.

So Thursday is open mike night at the bar on the first floor of my building. I have to say it is a sad display of human vanity.
And the record store next to it stays open to cash in on the traffic. So his music is competing with band. Oh joy.

My dog's behaviour is getting worse since the incident with my mother. He pulled me into a wall today trying to get to another dog and almost knocked down a pedestrian. I'm going to talk to the vet tomorrow and may euthanize him.

Feeling a bit numb and detached. My plate is too full.

I'm sorry, Ann.

I'm glad you're holding yourself together, though.

It seems like your dog had a traumatic experience. Maybe all he needs is a little rest--like we humans do. I hope the vet doesn't advise euthanization.

I'm not sure I am actually. Often I don't realize til after how far gone I was. Right now I feel disembodied. I keep picturing a gun going off. First at Henry's head. Now at mine.

And my useless fwb is completely drunk.

He for sure is traumatized. I'm acting normal with him but he knows things are different.
