Mum had told me about this local place to go play bingo. I've had a long standing love of playing bingo, cuz I love matching the numbers for the most part. So finally we went after dinner to this place to go check it out. Everything was ok and I was very much into going...until we reached the building. And it wasn't until actually going into the building that all internal hell broke loose. I stood by the exit while my Mum was asking more details about the place. I was trying to get her to leave like RIGHT NOW, but to no avail. That left me stuck by the door and I felt a meltdown/panic attack coming on. I don't think I've ever had one...or at least one that bad before. I've had meltdowns...but never a real panic attack. But being inside that place sure gave me one.

What was wrong with the building?

not sure exactly... most likely a mixture of... never been there before, the smell, the crowd, it was a funky brightness inside... it just gave off this vibe...

Do you listen to music when you go places? I do and it drowns out all the noise. I also have noise canceling headphones on top of that so its just me and the sound.

What kind of place was this?

Interesting. I've never been to a so-called Bingo Hall, but whenever I see a photo of the inside of one I get an icky feeling, like I would not want to be in that environment.

I should say that a few years ago, I did attend a bingo hall...the building has since been torn down. And I actually had fun there. No weird smells or bad vibes. I'm now in the process of trying to find another place to go to.

@superpentil No, I don't do headphones. I don't really like things on my head (except my hats and when i put my hoodie up to protect me from rain) and I definitely can't do the headphones that you stick right in your ear. In this building, just wearing noise canceling headphones wouldn't have helped at all.

I can handle convention centers, but not the back of the deli near the market.
