Hope it's not cancer, and is something easy to treat. I've lost relatives to cancer, and had it myself. Had to have a complete hysterectomy, but they caught it early, due to a female bleeding problem. When I had that fixed, they found the cancer, so I have been C-free for about 9 1/2 years now.
Just before my operation I had to fill out a lot of paperwork, and burst out laughing when I had to sign a release saying that I understood I would not be able to have kids after the operation. DUH! In my case, kids were not an issue. I never married, as I never wanted to, and never wanted kids, either. If others want them, fine, but it doesn't suit me. The surgery didn't change my feelings about it, either.
Hope things go well with your situation
