I had that problem too - I really struggle when I haven't slept and it also messes with my depression and anxiety.

As much as I hate to suggest more medication (as that is what is causing your current problems) I found Oxazepam helpful. It is a very mild tranquilizer which is generally prescribed for anxiety, but it also helps me sleep without making me feel too drowsy in the morning. I also take fluoxetine which has helped me sleep.

Obviously, this is completely your decision and you should discuss it with your medical practitioner.

The choice I had was, as much as I hated medication, I needed to sleep and not be debilitated by depression and anxiety so I accepted that I needed some medication.

Of course, this is completely up to you.

I am not 'endorsing' or 'promoting' medication, I just wanted to share my experience in case it was of help to you.

I hate when I'm insanely mad and I have no one to talk to about it because they're all asleep. I HATE IT!! because I cannot sleep at night.. even when I stay up all day long, when night comes I just feel so alert its insane and it drives me crazy.

I always had a rule, where I'd wake up for my friends to vent - and made sure that they knew it. Had a few who reciprocated too. Too bad I don't have friends now ('cept here - but it ain't the same as actually talking).
