Last night I tried to get some early sleep in the little park in-between SF's Main Library and City Hall , only to find out that they still watered that portion of it (They sure don't water public land at all?? in Santa Cruz anymore .) , and sprinklers automatically came up and watered !
It could have been worse , but some stuff got too wet to keep , I suppose it's a blessing that my heavy backpack was reduced some ~ However , my (already problematic) cheap Wal-Mart tablet was likely made useless , as with other ones previously - Maybe those are NG for me to do anymore .
I should maybe get a " cheap smartphone " but both the initail $ outlay , and getting it going .........

...The cheap tablet referred to got stolen , just after I wrote that - . I didn't get to a computer all weekend .
Friday , a HOT person (Homeless Outreach Team) person found me on the street and said she'd get a shelter berth for me , she said to call later in the day (It seems , as I've said before , that it is expected now that even HL people will have a cellphone ~ As I've said , I don't have the money , I don't really know how to get them going , I have ~ fitful ~ access to the already-existing stuff you need to get a new one going and , even when I've sort of started to get one going , the tech goes wrong on ME ! Not , I think , something I did , but the phone stuff f*****g up - If I could just get some help ~ I'm not even , in this parenthesis , referring to money/gifts , just help in getting a phone going learning .)
I tried to call the HOT person again to-day , but I didn't even get a message-leaver ...

Nope....I haven't seen too many homeless people with cellphones.

I hope some HOT person comes soon. Do they have a physical headquarters?

Isn't there some sort of "drop-in" center where you could go. I know it's a pain-in-the-butt wait--but maybe they could get you a place to sleep for a night.

...I called again , got the same answering machine I got Friday ~ This day , I had been offered both a ride to an ER , with my bad feet , however , I don't need another ER bandage-up . They then offered to take me to a shelter , however , though a decent shelter situation could be okay , being taken to who-knows-where in the middle of the day ~ How would I even get back to my usual stomping grounds ?
I suppose there's a line-up shelter , where you may or may not get in , but I don't know where/the protocol , SF shelters have a rep for rather cough-TB-heavy germlands with sotra rough situations , at least " normal " ones I think....One agency I always went to when I was here before I discovered , finally last Friday , was closed down now ~ It's uphill , remember , as is another I'm sure still there(& some free feeds ~ I've barely eaten at all 2day , however) , I don't wish to walk uphill much with my load and bad feet ~ I neee clothes , and what I've got , at least below my jackets , may be more for throwing away ~ Some money will come in tomorrow and I'll feel more hopeful/energized ~ Maybe it's West Coast (especially Upper) , lotsa HL having CFs , I read an article in a Tenderloin-oriented pub about " with cheap phones , many HL have CFs and (a local HL charity/group) has added a downloadable app that will tell HL of where shelter beds are available/meals " ~ So one more thing that I'm without leaving me at a disadvantage .

...My week's money came , I have largely spent it ~ However , much would be considered to be on " Good " trhings , such as ~ Some new shoes (Payless $29.99 ~ I threw out the totally trashed old shoes)
A T-shirt , a " shirt "-one , covering up the dirty " wifebeater/ex-con " model T-shirts-in-the-older-sense-of -the-phrase underneath them .
I will get a new (I can't think of the word ! ) , um , sweatpants , that's it ~ Tho in theory I'd prefer a new at least one of slacks/jeans and a belt for them ~ However , the last one , especially is hard to find .
However , this is just patching up the dirty clothes underneath , not a complete new outfit/It is replacing one with another , which will get dirty .
I had to get still another pair of glasses to replace one more lost " good one " .
Finding those HOT people , briefly , seems to be something of a " hang around like Lana Turner at Schwab's Drug Store and try to get discovered " thing .

...I got another something odd ~ A Walgreens' brand " throwaway camera " , use once & develop & get the pix & film & throw away ~ You see , I want some pictures , and unlike EVERYONE in the modern world , I don't have a smartphone , can't get them to work/get them stolen when I do - But , even if I find the money to develop these , homeless as I am , where would I keep the film/pix ?

...Speaking of being " wettened " last night , when , having left the SF Library's (technical) " side entrance " , crossing the street to the block on the other side , I stepped up from the street onto the curb , it was wet due to having been washed ~, carrying my heavy backpack ~ & I slipped and fell on my side , on the wet concrete .
I guess I'm getting old .

...I had hoped to be able to use that latest-tablet-that-got-stolen to be able to write things at length , that you can't rushing in a library ...........

...I had wanted to find the time to write things regarding my sh***y , thieving , cousins , and the attempt to get into CCSF , things like that , things that would be better initially proposed in written form...but now I don't have such

...Oddly enough , the wounds in my feet (below where the big toes once were ) are suprisingly ~ somewhat better ~ than I thought they'd be , though they haven't 100% healed .
I got given some over-the-counter antibiotic ointment , which helped ~ although it's almost out - I tended to think you couldn't get antibiotics over-the-counter .
I just don't get to sleep enough - In Santa Cruz I was able to do some daytime sleeping outside , anyway ~ It has been colder than I expected here in San Francisco .
I have only the set of clothes I am wearing , remember ~ And , though I have the better shoes now , I am walking rather slowly , and , as the falling down while trying to step up on the curb yesterday shows , my balance is still bad ~ I could use the chance to rest some , & get better ~ Failing that , at least some money .

...Okay ~ A couple nites back I decided not to go to the Sally Army to get some sweatpants to get some sort of clothes , as I'd had only the one set of sweatpants since mid-September or som when I was put in the hospital . They were pretty dirty now . However , I didn't .
I'd ate little that day , I let out my frustration by going to Burger King and buying MUCH TOO MUCH BK fare , and then going to the dried-out grass in UN Plaza in SF and eating it and then going to sleep , as I needed sleep .
I woke up later , went to a homeless dirty street spot that I've slept in , slept there .
Later , a guy offering those free " basic " cellphones , " Obamaphones " as people call them , offered me one - However , my lack of an address that isn't a PO box/office (Even a private , not a USPS , post box , which is what I have ~ That wasn't acceptable either .) queered that .
( I had thought about posting here asking for someone to physically help me with improving my cellphone -Internet skills , to come see me , and , with a phone that I had bought (Important , I was not asking for a money/stuff gift , just help .) , show me some of the Internet basic skills I DON'T know how to do !
However , I spent to much on the needed clothes to-day , I probably cannot do it (though I needed the clothes ~ I have , still , only one pair though ~ they're clean NOW , but ~ And , the sports jacket I have (Along with my top-up denim jacket , not washed ) IS REALLY FALLING APART .
I got clean...er by going into a government building and giving mysdelf a " semi- " shower , leaving a MIGHTY mess - Maybe I shouldn't have , but what else could I've done ?

That's the most important thing--getting clean.

...Beginning-of-month money close to gone (will pay my PO box ~ private ~ after this pay 'Net at their place) ~ I eat MUCH TOO MUCH Walgreen's/7-11 fare ~ I am not sure whether I could reserve myself a shelter bed by phone ~ and now , over the weekend ? Doubt...

You know what I think are usually the best shelters? The ones run by churches where you have to attend a service. They seem to be clean and have strict rules (i.e., especially as it regards violence, thievery).

Yeah , I am told but I do tend to think that means " SS agencies could reserve something for a 3d party " or something .
However , that aside , I think a phone maybe tends to be semi-expected by SS types , that an HL will likely have one ~ Perhaps just here in the rather 'puters/'Net/tech-obsessed Coastal Northwest . I've seen person/s more " HL "-looking than I with phones , hoo boy !

ASS-P, I got out of jail today. The pigs got me at my doctor's surgery last week as I had to go there to get a medical form, about my benefits. No doubt they were informed I may go there as the pigs do this when they want to locate somebody they want to slap the cuffs on (craftily investigating potential ways to find where you may go).

Now this really was not my fault as such this time around as some upsetting stuff that provoked me made me breach my bail terms in a sense that it was a bit too much to cope with, but hey, the WP haters seem to think I am evil and stalking every female caregiver I meet.

Well, I obviously got arrested. The judge who is really cool and sympathetic had me released from jail today. The guy I shared a cell with was quite annoying however, and tormented me with a pen and his lighter. Thankfully I'm out of that place. I'd been worried about getting a full committal again, and was thinking I'd go nuts if that actually happened.

As to Sara and Joanna: I think, yeah, screw 'em. I went through all this bull crap, yet they never cared in the least. So why should I? Anyway, life is way too short.

I'm going to enjoy being retired from the Internet! Woo.

Just take care and stay out of trouble now, eh?
