Hi. I made a grammar natzi post earlier here on WP, but as a Zelda fan jumped on a Zelda board and posted the following

The two "newest ones" (MM 3D not withstanding). As many boards mention (outside of reddit) SS had its issues and Wiimote wasn't always 100%. I LOL! When someone used a Doctor Who meme and someone said missing out on SS (insert Doctor Who) Forgot the meme it had the 10th Doctor. :-)
Also the Metroid back track + phantom things hated it in hourglass hated it in SS case closed there! 4 hour tutorial UGH!
LBW LOVED IT! Got the Master Sword fully upgraded and the wall technique was used in fun ways BUT the get 100 little thingies to just up the power of the bow (insert weapon) was never needed so I skipped that totally!
They need to make Skulltella or the thingies or whatever the "Collect them all thing" worthwhile in Zelda games moving forwards.
Ratchet and Clank got everything Spyro got everything UBER weapons and POWERS! Zelda why bother????? Master Sword and regular hearts from beginning to end is all you ever need. No heart hunting required.
A LOT of Awakening hate on the FE boards and my namesake is Zelda so. Don't be mean LOL! :-)

(That's the above ME)

I think I just experienced what it's like to have ADHD.

Are you... are you drunk ?
Cause your sentences are just all over the place.

Uhm WP? I'm very hurt by this! I don't have ADHD! I get excited over talking about my game interests (like a kid) so I want to share that interest OMG! the last games were awesome I like A B C D X about them OMG!

2nd I'm NOT DRUNK! If I'm drunk I'm SUPER SOCIAL to my family and laugh and feel good socially. I don't crawl "into a hole" trying to find friends on game message boards. :-( Oh I like Zelda may try to play an older game "I should go chat up Zelda fans on a board!" Maybe meet some LIKE MINDED FANS! That can have a SIVEL! discussion about the games etc.

Instead I get called ADHD and drunk! :-(

Not to mention another post I mention here was some grammar natzi stuff. Sure the natzi stuff I can slide but I'm not ADHD and most certainly not drunk! :-(

Need to find real life people who get as passionate OMG OMG! Zelda and FE is AWESOME! As excited as me! :-(

Isn't it strange that people keep saying things like that?
Do you think they all are just trying to be mean?

Is it wrong to expect common courtesy. Niceness to talk about a common interest *insert game series* I thought that was a key thing with Aspie socializing find message boards Autism or a certain game or sci-fi show you like and find like minded people to talk about it with. I have WAY too much social anxiety to try a convention or anything major like that so message boards it is.

And GOD FORBID I find a WHO message board! I go rambling about my view of the best Doctor or different plot lines I may be called ADHD there too OR drunk OR grammar natzi "OMG! my english"

Even when we "Aspies" try to be social online find like minded people it seems some of us fail at that too. :-(

zelda, the people on these forums don't know you. They don't know any detail about you, like how you get excited or how you act while drunk.
All they ever see is the text you've written there.

When it's difficult for them to follow it, they get annoyed and say things like "You have ADHD?".
But what they really mean is "I find it hard to follow this text. Man... this text sounds like the person who has written this has ADHD".
They may not even know what ADHD really is, but despite that use it to say "I have trouble reading this text".
It is important to note that people don't directly offend you, they don't say "You have ADHD", but they hint it in a way that is, more often than not, of benign intent.

And people tend to do this quite often. I have been on forums for quite a while, and I've encountered this situation as well.
It's not nice when you don't know how to react to this, but once you learn that there is no reason for concern other than the fact that people are telling you "Hey, I have trouble reading this", you will get somewhat used to it.

Does this make sense to you?

Thank You that does make since. But I do find it sad. Vs the above Zelda text OMG! excited. A simple How do you like SS & LBW?

IMO that's too simple of a sentence and is dumbed down like you are talking to idiots! vs. having an OMG! excited conversation. (SS = Skyward Sword LBW=Link Between Worlds) 2 Zelda games those are there abbreviations.

Obviously in a message board setting you are at times talking to idiots (especially on gaming boards or fan boards it seems.) vs. an Autism board where we rant and have emotional issues all of us we can read through the lines and KNOW what the person is trying to say.

Where a board on some condition Autism etc. would be more understanding it seems a "fan" board seems harsh and just looks at if they can read the text. Again it's sad you have to dumb yourself down vs. having an excited "child like" conversation.

YES I'm nearly 30 but OMG! I love Zelda and Fire Emblem! Those are awesome series! OMG OMG! Could talk for hours it seems on those. Sadly a lot of boards have hate towards certain games to the point you don't even want to be on the board since they are so negative towards a certain game in the franchise.

Oh well. I tried the "meet like minded" friends message board idea. Reddit and GameFAQs aren't the nicest of boards it seems and neither is some Pokemon board I found.

Oh well.

I think I can relate to that.
I often want to just type away and go crazy on certain topics because I'm so excited about them. But then, a few milliseconds before clicking "send", I notice that it will be difficult for others to understand.

Some things, however, can make it objectively more difficult to read a text.
I bet it's obvious to you, but here we go:

For example, if I were to write OMG (or any other acronym) after every word, it's becoming more difficult to read and maybe even confusing.

Example wrote:
For OMG example OMG, if OMG I OMG were OMG to OMG write OMG after OMG every OMG word, OMG it's OMG becoming OMG more OMG difficult OMG to OMG read.

No offense, but acronyms and uppercase words pop up quite a bit in your texts, which people may get overwhelmed with.

Likewise, punctuation can make a big difference for people who read your text for the first time.
Examples wrote:
We ate mom.
We ate, mom.

Hello my name is by which is mean my last name Dr. Light.
Hello, my name is, by which I mean my last name, Dr. Light.

Of course, you "just know", which you actually mean. But anyone else... not really. And they can get confused or annoyed.

The "sad" (but even from my point of view understandable) reality is that many people get overwhelmed from stuff like that. Much like Aspies can get overwhelmed from loud noises and such.
It's not so much that they are idiots, but they have certain needs for structure and legibility. In fact, I'm probably an Aspie and find it hard to follow. So it's not just NT people.

I hope you're not getting any ideas that I might be trying to be mean to you by criticizing your text, zelda.
I too have my limitations, and this is my best at being kind explaining this to you.

I understood what you wrote as being excited! Like very much so... I don't think other people will understand that. If they don't, do you care what they think anyway? I know it's hard not to. I don't like social media much for this reason. It's hard to be yourself when people respond like that...

Thank you! Yes excited! Just excited to find like minded Zelda or Fire Emblem fans to discuss those series with. I also find with 1,000's of people online the game message boards get responses in seconds if only they didn't seem so rude.

I did find your post hard to read TBH and it's hard for me to focus. So I can understand the ADHD comment. That person also found your post hard to read so it took him a lot of focus and it was hard to stay focused on what was being written without being distracted. With all the cap words and parenthesis and capitalize letters like SS, I was lost and too distracting. I didn't even know what SS was or LBWor UBER and it was all over the place and the ! marks. I had to read your post over and over to have it make sense and not everyone has the patience to do that to understand it when there are dozens of other posts they can read. Also spacing would really help.
