With my life that is. It's a huge mess now. My mum doesn't care about me...

Your mom really cares about you, the problem is she is overprotecting you, you should talk to her about it.

What the heck is she protecting me from?!

She doesn't even know how I feel about this crap.

It may be time to tell her then.
Try to make sure that you have
a good handle on your emotions
though. Sometimes, I find it easier
to write things like this down, rather
than directly face the person. That
too could be included in a letter to her.

Oh yeah, and tell her that you love her.
That's important for a parent to know
every now and then. Even if you just feel
anger - just saying it to yourself will help
make it so, and make it easier for you to
deal with her.

The only thing that can be done for me to deal with her is if I don't live in the same house as her!

Well, defeatism is always an option.
I just don't suggest it as the best one.

i think it means that if you see you are beat, you simply give up you don't try something else that might work!

your basicaly giving up that your mum's solution is final and that your not willing to try and find another solution that she might consider
