she wont stop me from going off litium. she wont help either. bare in mind the drugs have made me severly disabled, i cant leave the house without help

i hope you are going to be under the care of your doctor while coming off. lithium is some scary stuff. at the moment, i am coming off trileptal (also used to treat bipolar but not nearly as many side effects.) is there a reason for the sudden change of heart in your parents? i thought they practically shoved the stuff down your throat and got angry if you didn't take it. if she's starting to see your side that's great, but it doesn't sound like it if she's not going to help you.

Just work on it really slowly. Coming off quickly is REALLY bad.

well changed a little, we just had a arguement now its you come off just not in this house. i need to come off to even have a chance of leaving. if i display any of displeasure about my situation or what happened they get very mad and start threathening to call the police and do their bit again. i have to be HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY ALL THE TIME or they get pissed. iam not allowed to miserable or theirs a problem. they just wont own up to having done the most horrible thing possible and blame me.

especially when i just want nothing more than curl up in bed and cry, if i could.

For the record, I tried the stuff and it gave me stomach ulcers. I went off it cold turkey with no ill effects. However, that is not normal, as I understand.
