I don't have much time so I'll make this short. My laptop got stolen and it had all my files for my assignments that are overdue. I'll have to start them from scratch. I backed them up to USB stick and portable hard drive but they were stolen too. They were plugged into the laptop when it was taken.

Last night one of my best friends fobbed me off. He just ignored me. I'm stressed at work.

I haven't received a response from that girl I love. I want to get her back. I've been talking to this other girl. She says she wants to be with me. When I talk to her I just wish she was the one I love.

That girl ruined me for other girls. I can never love another. I talk to this other girl because I'm worried I'll be alone but it makes me feel so conflicted.

I'm sorry to hear about your computer. Did you have any personal information on it? Possibility of ID theft. Regarding the girl, don't sweat it. The fact that another is interested in you means that there can and will be others in your life. You just need time to move on from the relationship or infatuation. Whatever you do, don't settle with someone for reasons of emotional security or lack of self confidence in your ability to attract others. I settled for a woman who loved me, for these reasons and without really examining the depth of my love for her. The result is a marriage that has lasted for over a decade but is intimately and emotionally empty for me. I have been considering separation, but there are two children involved that complicate matters. You are only 28, take your time and date people, chances are you will find someone you will love deeply and who will return that love.
