Probably because I'd been watching too much Stargate
This is probably because I'd been watching too much Stargate, Outer Limits, and Dark Skies recently, but I had two dreams featuring those creepy grey-asgard aliens.
The first one it was with Jackie and me boarding a boat or airplane of our own. A friend of ours was with us, but I don't know his name. Either way, Jackie was bringing a pet golden retriever with a bright yellow safety vest aboard and I said, "Jackie, Maxwell was wearing an orange safety vest, that's not Maxwell!"
Suddenly it morphed into a grey alien and did that scary jazz-hands thing like Ripley's alien did to Dallas, along with a high pitch growl. Instead of us three being scared though, Jackie, our friend, and I just mimicked its behavior right back to it and it ran away.
Second dream was a waking dream, except I was still able to move. My birds acted like they were afraid, flapping around in their cages, so I turned a looked at them and this grey alien was standing beside me. I jumped off the couch and it ran and cowered in the corner next to the microwave and disappeared into thin air while I was looking at it.
So now I'm watching Sliders instead.

Maybe you should stay away from scifi/specialFX movies for a while. Watch classic westerns on AMC for a while, or something! Lol!
But thats interesting that you had a lucid dream about a grey alien hanging out in your own living room. Might be a clue about all of those "abductees" who report that their bodies get stiff while Greys abduct them out of their homes. Maybe they all are just having an extreme version of a waking dream.
Oh great. Now I'm so very tempted to share some of my all-time favorite scenes of Thor, Loki, and O'neil. However, I will refrain from doing this out of consideration due to the nature of this subject matter.
Pertaining to greys in general:
Iamaparakeet, is this fear limited to the two dreams? I do not know the depth of your personal experiences regarding your fear of greys. Perhaps you may want to look into reading Whitley Streibers story (in the event you have not already) as it may contain information which resonates with your personal experiences and may help you to transcend your fear.
I won't post an image but the book is called:
"COMMUNION: A true story" By. Whitley Strieber
Pertaining to the greys from SG universe:
As you are most likely aware, not all greys are created equal (Thor vs. Loki). Sometimes it can be helpful to reinforce this slightly. Try not to be too afraid of the grey-asgard. Try to look at it this way... the grey-asgard in the Stargate Universe can be considered to be more of a benevolent Alien/ET race. Sure, they may look very strange, but that's just how they are.
Let's apply some humor to the greys... Like early on in SG Atlantis when Sheppard saw one asgard-grey working alongside human personnel in Antarctica or elsewhere.... He took one look, stared in both awe and disgust, and said something like: "do they always look like that???" or "why are they always naked???" Don't exactly remember what he said verbatim, but I do recall that it was funny.
On the bright side, at least you didn't have to deal with the Replicators in your dreams/nightmares. Because that would have been VERY bad.
Yeah... I'd have to agree with that. Step back from that stuff for awhile and see how you feel. Hopefully your fear subsides.
I had a dream in which the Star Trek Voyager team were flying in X-Wings. Then they ended up on a planet where they were either giants or everyone living there was tiny. Then I think Janeway and Seven were about to start a romantic relationship or something, but that might have been me imagining things after I woke up.

Interesting dream. X-Wings? Let me guess, Tom Paris was the best X-Wing pilot? The new leader of Rogue Squadron.
As if the Voyager crew didn't get completely screwed over hard enough getting stranded in the Delta Quadrant...now, they find themselves stranded in an alternate reality Star Wars universe.
^Yes, Tom, Chekotay, Seven of Nine, and Janeway seemed to be the best X-Wing pilots for some reason.

I just saw that episode recently, it's great. I don't mind if you post it, the stargate greys are, somehow, not as menacing. Maybe it's because they talk and make friendlier expressions than the ones in pretty much every other one. Most pictures of those creatures cause cold chills and I automatically look away, like the ones in the Outer Limits episode Beyond The Veil. Stargate's puppets, even grumpy Hermiod, aren't scary. They're too friendly to be scary.

Naturalplastic, yeah, probably so. I was able to move though. The last waking dream I had before this was back in 2004 when I awoke to seeing one of my birds, Patty the tiel specifically, walking upside down on the ceiling and disappearing out of sight. I wasn't scared, either time, I was just like "what the heck is this?"
RadicalDreamer, aside from the yellow jacket face and other qualities of appearance I'm not afraid of them because they don't exist. The appearances that are scary are scary because they harken to creatures and illnesses which are actually dangerous, leading to a reflex reaction of repulsion. Seeing the dream illusion thing by my birds led me to feel protective of my babies, not afraid of it.

Actually, since Jackie left me I've spent most of my time trying to distract myself from the pain and forgive her, because I want to be reconciled to my precious lady, I've managed to finally watch every single episode of all three series of Stargate. I know most of them aren't bad guys. Pretty much just Loki by name, though they suggested others also did medical experiments. Really people like Josef Mengele are the real monsters in this actual universe.
They also had powered armor in that episode I recall, they kidnapped McKay after he ventured into a room on the city which had sensors to detect proximity or something. The project was supposed to only stop the Wraith from being able to use hyperspace drives, but it also would turn every stargate into a nuke with trillions of teratons yield, so they had to stop it. That one?
Actually those mechanical spiders from the newer Lost In Space movie aren't so scary. In real life they would be, but they don't really look like it. Until they're swarming anyway.
Yeah... I'd have to agree with that. Step back from that stuff for awhile and see how you feel. Hopefully your fear subsides.
Actually been watching Abyss, Hunt For Red October, Crimson Tide, Halo Fall Of Reach, Halo Nightfall, and Sea Lab more recently.

What I meant by that was basically just anything pertaining to those respective characters throughout the entire series. There's so many timeless scenes.
This was an amazing scene:
Also, couldn't help but notice you mentioned the Wraith... Whenever I see or hear about the Wraith, I cannot help but think back to their vile point of origin.
The Iratus bug. Which is, well...
That alternate reality episode was awesome. A Wraith loose in Vegas complete with Marilyn Manson. Classic.
It was also kinda sad when Jewel State's wraith character got killed, but she was better as Dr. Keller though.
