I've managed to do a something that was a stupid thing for a smart person to do, today. I have trouble with Platformed Shoes, and I wanted to get my Neighbour's Mail. I was in a hurry, so I've put my Mom's Platformed Shoes on, thinking that nothing would happen. After all, my Neighbour's House is just next door. Surley enough, I've slipped in a Rain Puddle, and I've twisted my Foot, along the Side and the Arch. I've also cracked a few Joints in that Foot, in the Proccess. The dumb thing is, I remember a similar incident that involved Platformed Shoes, almost 9 years ago, on my way to the Mall, and I didn't stop to remember that blunder. Now I know my Reality. I'm built for the Sixties, not the Seventies. I have no troubles with my Beatle Boots, or my Mary Janes. These stupid Accidents have only happened to me, the two times that I was wearing Platformed Shoes. I'm very dissapointed with myself, for not thinking. Now I'm going to be locked up, inside the house, for 7 days, because of those stupid Platformed Shoes!

Thankyou. I'm spending very little time on my Feet, and I'm Icing my Sprain. If it's not better in a few days, I'll have to go into the Walk-In Clinic. I hate that place. It's as bad as the Hospital. :x It's the smell that drives me Bananas, and the Magazines are half a Decade old.

My nursing advice:
Remember the acronym RICE:

Rest (ie don't walk around)
Ice
Compression (Ace wrap bandage)
Elevation (keep it at least the level of your heart or higher)

Also Motrin or Advil might help reduce swelling (research differs on this) and will reduce pain. Ice is the best thing for reducing pain and swelling and increasing healing time. As long as it's not broken, and you do these things, you shouldn't have to go the clinic.

Yes, like Alyssa said. I once fell down the stairs and that's exactly what the phone-in nurse said to do, and it helped a lot. I hope you feel very much better very soon. Do you have a cat? A cat has healing properties in purring. Rest well, and I wish upon you great books, music, and epiphanies.
