I hate it. Mum doesn't seem to give a crap about me! She won't let me do things like normal teenagers, so she keeps me inside! All I ever do at home is play video games, and believe me, it's not fun...

This seems a familiar complaint. I thought she took you to the library? Also, I would suggest that she is being over protective of you as opposed to not giving a crap about you. If she didn't give a crap about you, she would let you do anything you wanted, regardless of any danger. Ask her if she will take you out again or something... I thought you said you could go out anyway but chose not to?

I still don't know about that. And if I did go out, there's nowhere I can go. She took me to the library the other week, but she won't take me again. I'd go myself, but I have no library card.

You could still look at books in the library...you don't have to take them out. Really, you should find a way of getting your own library card...you are old enough to have one now. I dont see how you can change this situation if your mother insists on over protecting you...you can only really keep talking to her and explaining how she is making you feel...or write it down and give it to her. It is easier to write it sometimes.

Good idea. But it's just a matter of getting there.

Only if RedMage is okay with me telling others, I can tell you why she can get like this. But of course, only if RedMage isokay with it.

You should have asked her via PM, now we all want to know.

You can catch a bus to get to places too RedMage. Plus, maybe it's overprotection (a display of love) from your mother.

Sometimes I get on better with my mother if I go out in the day and amuse myself and then she has the house to herself which I've found out she likes. Then in the evenings we seem to have less problems. I think it's just that she hates me staying in all the time and feels I'm more normal if I go out. By the way where I go is usually free museums, the park, the library or anywhere really, sometimes I just walk soemwhere. Also I tell my mother I'm going for a run around the block and she's fine with that.

I've gotten the impression that it's hard for all people to be in close quarters for extended periods of time. Family or strangers, spectrum or NT. I like TellerStar's ideas about getting out of the house for a while and taking a nice walk.

To be perfectly honest with you (and this may not be comforting) your mother doesn't sound deserving of her role. If she's neglecting you and ignoring you, to the point where you're not happy with life in any way, the you need to get out of there. But we all know the problem of where you should go...

I think you should pull your mum over at some point and have a good talk to her. If she says no no matter what, that's further damaging her already crud reputation.

I could live here at nanna's, but that'll never happen.
