I've known I have Tourette's Syndrome since I was a kid, but after I hit puberty the ticks seemed to go away almost entirely. Just recently, however, I've found myself ticking (is that the right term) almost nonstop. My fingers are twitching, which is especially annoying since my job involves a lot of typing, and I'm constantly opening and closing my mouth really wide. I'm also flexing my scalp muscles a lot. They're making me look weird, and it's been so long since I've had uncontrollable ticks that I've forgotten how to deal with them. Does anybody know what might have started them up like this, and how I can control them?

I'm assuming you're not on any medications where this might be a side-effect? Something like abilify can cause this and you should consult a doctor right away.

No, I haven't been on meds for years now. I used to take melatonin and it would make me shakey, but I got off that a long time ago. Used to take abilify too, but it never did that to me.

The same thing happened to me,
It was stress, have you run into any stress recently?

I did just recently move into a new office building after spending about six months in the old one. It hasn't been stressful, per se, but I guess how new everything is to me might be doing that. I don't see why it would, though, since my ticks never started up like this when I first started the job.
