It is unavoidable part of life. In the past it used to enter into my mind a bit, but not so much since I have been diagnosed.

Well, before the (self) diagnosis, it would make me a little envious to an odd level of uncomfortability...

But there were definately the times when I was sure glad I wasn't going through whatever hell these couples were going through (public arguments between people make me uncomfortable)....

And I knew that there was something "different" about me...and I didn't feel like I should subject someone to my moods and quirks...it wouldn't be fair.

Now I know about Asp, it's not so bad...but, still single, and most days, still happy about it.

Jen

It bothers me. Especially, whenthey stop and kiss, right in front of me. Sometimes I think that they're doing it on purpose, to rub it in.

It bothers me only when I see myself as better looking and/or more productive than the man that is with the lady I find attractive. I remember this one girl's husband was in a wheel chair (he was a quadplegic I think). Neither had jobs and depended on the church/government. I pretty sure she meet him he was allready a quadplegic. The point is lack of social skills is a much bigger problem than having no money or paralyzed limbs.

I have in the past, and still sometimes feel bad about being single (though on a rational level I can still be conscious of what others have said here about couples not exactly enjoying lives of unalloyed bliss). Also, there a number of things about being solitary that I enjoy.
