Sometimes I feel like I can be quite paranoid and anxious. I'm posting this because for the last hour I have heard a helicopter flying over my house enough to make the house shake and it is freaking me out. It's half 3 in the morning and I keep imagining someone might be like outside.

I just feel a bit silly for being so paranoid and was wondering if anyone else has freak outs like this? I hope this is the right place to post.

I should add that I'm in a student house so while in the past I've woken up parents I am currently alone

I know how you feel. Helicopters tend to evoke feelings of dread, especially if they are nearby.

It most definitely has nothing to do with you. If you were in NYC, I would assume that the people in the helicopters are chasing a criminal suspect.

My student house isn't in the nicest area and is so unusual for there to be helicopters cause they would have to be called in from the next town over

Military flies helicopters low over my house some every month or two sometimes. I don't live anywhere near a base. They'd have to come from Washington or California. Makes me worried every time.
