And not in that fun way, either.

I went on vacation with a friend last week. We visited a few gardens. One of these gardens had jagged stone steps, and it had rained that morning. I slipped, and my back landed right on the corner of one of these jagged stone steps.

I have been popping Aleve ever since that fateful moment.

That was ten days ago, and my back still hurts like a Motherf***er.

I really don't want to see a doctor if I don't have to. Primarily because I would rather save my money for another vacation.

I do miss working out at the YMCA, however.

Great vacation outside of that incident, however. I should count my blessings whenever they are there.

Did it break the skin or what? What type of injury is it? If it's your ribs, I don't think they can really do much for you other than help with the pain.

A lot of bruising on the skin, and some sharp pain on both sides of my spine on my lower back where I landed on the corner of the jagged stone step.

I am seeing my doctor this afternoon. This sucks.

Keep us posted. Hopefully it's not too bad. At least you're going to doctor. I think i broke my rib in a car accident three months and I just sorta ignored it till healed. Hurt to laugh for awhile.

Glad you are seeing a doctor, let us know how it goes. Hope you didn't fracture your back.

Well, here is an update.

I have a couple of cracks in my back, but they will fix themselves if I remain careful over the next few weeks. I am going to miss weightlifting at the YMCA for the time being.

I have been prescribed Percocet, but I won't be taking many of them, primarily because I need to work at my desk job to get cash to feed my gaming addiction.

Heh.

It's good you got it checked out. I have fractured my back two different times in two different places before I hit my teens. Now that I am old, I still get pain there. But if I keep my spine warm by dressing in layers, the pain is a lot less. I sleep with a fleece vest over my pjs that keeps my spine warm at night. It makes a huge difference in my pain levels during the day. Anyway, that's been my experience with a cracked back. Hope yours heals up well.
