My glasses got thrown out !

Now , at the place , under the guise of " cleaning up " , two bags from Target got thrown out , which had , aside from newspapers and drinking bottles , glasses for use indoors ~ About 3 pair Foster Grants , IIRC ~ publications ~ the novel Madame Bovary , the new Esquire ~ my flashlight ~ GONE .
Even MORE money gone away ! I have no choice , right now , but to stay there , I need the bed/what care I can get , but if I could go somewhere else...And now , I'll have to replace the glasses , etc. .........

Isn't there a way you could get some sort of "storage." Even in jail, there is a way to store your things.

I second kraftiekortie, you don't have to stay at a shelter if you don't want to but you can at least go to one and ask for the person in charge and see if he'll hold your stuff. If there are no shelters around you, go to a church and ask if they'll hold your stuff. Thats suppose to be what Christians are there for, I'd expect it from them. They don't do what they are suppose to do half the time though.

...Super-brierfly , I have no alternative now , and this situation KEEPS MAKING ME REPLACE EVERYTHING , DEPLETING MY MONEY

...Okay , here goes...I went out , and got new non-prescription glasses , a cheaper brand , and a new flashlight , among other things .
When I got back to the place , I found one of my two target bags brought back , with a fair amount of stuff in it , including the two publications I mentioned , and one of the Foster Grants . However , if I had not raised a fuss earlier , would they have been found ?
I really can't , as things stand now , not stay at where I am
(which , synopsis time , is the third of the shelters I've been at since coming back to S.F. , and is a " Respite " medical/recovery place)
~ Bluntly , it's better than anything else that seems available right now , unless there's some help/funds around the corner that I don't know of .
Is someone going to present such to me ? Please tell me if you are .
Above all , the ability to rest there (in theory , all day) and have some in-house medical , and three meals offered (Decent/alright , certainly not vegan of traditional Chinese remedies , re: what people here have suggested to me ~ Decent/above-average for ' activity center " food) , and a nearby bathroom and once-a-week free laundry rather trump going back to either Shelter #1 or #2 , which is all the outfit I'm " with " would offer , I'm sure . (I don't really think I could get with any other non-profit/SS outfit readily , either .)
About the only thing I could do is get a backpack and start freebooting (or freesandaling) , be a street musical , sleep in Golden Gate Park , preparing to go back East and see my brothe r...And , um , while this sounds romantic to me , I doubt I could really pull it off now , and I can't imagine youse guys/y'all telling me to do it ~ Unless you want me to be your vicarious id/Jack Kerouac while you sit , comfily , on the couch ! FTM , I don't even have any bags/backpacks , that's one more thing my constant need to replace clothes , tech , shoes ...elbows out of line .
