I used to have pretty bad OCD. I mainly obsessed about my glasses prescription, my earbuds leaking or sexual orientation. Now I have a new obsession. I feel like my face is constantly morphing. I know it's not, but it keeps looking different every time I look in the mirror. I've been compulsively taking selfies and looking in the mirror. I know that makes me seem narcissistic. I just want to know what my face actually looks like.

You said you had some OCD before. Was there anything that helped then that might help now? Thinking of you (((HUGS)))

Not really. I just keep changing obsessions. Even extremely trivial obsessions like this one cause a lot of anxiety.

I'm the same way, in a way. I always see changes in my face. I look in the mirror too much. My wife thinks I'm vain.

It sucks as an obsession, though. It's boring.

It is probably more productive if you go back to obsessing about optometry.

I hate my OCD obsessive thoughts when they come up also. Over the years, I've gradually found relief through deep breathing and meditation, which started getting better when I took classes and meditated after exercising. Yoga helps too, as does becoming really engaged in something fun or interesting. Also, if I can make fun of my obsessions, I feel better because they have less power over me then.

I can see my face differently as my emotions change.
Sometimes I'm hyper critical of minor things.

Not diagnosed on CDO.

Hope things become better for you. (hug) is all I can do, I don't have any OCD experience.
